Terrible – I'm university student and I need a lot of study materials printed but guess what? Papers are always jammed in this thing and I have to check and fix it every time. It has already wasted dozens of papers in just one semester. Seriously, don't trust this thing for large printing work, it will ruins your time and paper and maybe your patience.

Don't buy – This would have to be the biggest time waster I have ever had the misfortune to invest in. Not only does it constantly suffer from paper jams it also requires envelopes to be hand fed one at a time through manual feeder. Don't try to give it anything other than a standard paper thickness to print on either as it just doesn't cope. complete waste of money - no good for home or small business !! Time waster, paper jams - not a good buy

I know where I'd like to jam its paper jam!!!! – I have had this printer quite a while now, maybe approaching a year & overall it has performed at an acceptable level. However, from day 1 there have been frequent paper jams. I fear I am not alone in this situation as they have a whole section on how to clear a paper jam in their user manual (although not particularly helpful). I have just spent the better part of an hour trying to clear a paper jam with a pair of tweezers and a torch. I am covered in toner, have bruised my knuckles & been burnt by the hot thing inside the machine. It's not just the document feeder that jams either - it is every possible entry & exit point to the printer. The document feeder rendered itself useless in the first couple of months because every time I attempt to use it....paper jam. Don't even bother trying to print on anything but your standard piece of printing paper or else, you guessed it...paper jam.

Sometimes the printer doesn't seem to want to stop though & I'm forced to cut the power just to stop it from taking off. Looks impressive. Looks fancier than it is. Relentless paper jams will drive you crazy.

Great Printer But Don't Turn it Off – I have had my printer for around 6 weeks now and am very happy with it apart from the scanning software and defaults. If you turn the printer off or there is a power failure, the software drops out and has to be reloaded. I spent an hour on the phone with Samsung tech dept today to see why this was happening, and this is what they told me. I also run Autocad on my computer, and even though the SCX-4623F is set as the default printer, I have to select the printer in any drawing that I have not opened since installing the printer.

I previously had a Samsung SC-4100 and had trouble free service for 7 years up until just recently which is why I replaced it with the recommended replacement. I don't understand why these problems have surfaced with the new machine. It is very fast and the print quality is excellent
