Durable, easy to use, light, good sound – I break every tech appliance i own in a mater of months, I've had my Sansa now for almost 4 years and its still going strong (touch wood!) it is so easy to use, nice and light to cart around and i love that you can use just about any music program on your computer to transfer tunes, all with a simple 'click, drag and drop'. Reliable, easy to use,… Read more

indestructible! Volume is fine for earphones but could be louder for use through speakers. Doesn't play standard video/image formats

Excellent – The Sansa e200 Series is jam packed with ability for a resonable price and i like the fact that drivers are not required to be installed for music to be transferred to the device (Windows). The Battery life has been exceptional (Ive had the e280 for just over 12 months) and I use it in the Car every day (Connected to my car stereo). The only… Read more

issue i have had is with the Jog wheel being a little bit rough when scrolling and it would be great if there were more accessories available. Small Size, Excellent Battery Life, Expandable Memory (Micro SD), Plays Video, Radio (with ability to record), Voice Recording, Photo Slideshow, Battery can be replaced and Plug and Play (Drivers not required for Windows XP). Limited Accessories available and Jog Wheel can be a bit clumsy.

OK – I'm really divided on this - I returned one to be replaed after it froze on Day One. When it freezes, the bright blue volume ring stays lit, the screen is frozen, and you can't turn the bloody thing off! The replacement has just done the same thing after a week, but after I plugged it into the USB (computer indicated a USB device malfunction,… Read more

and could not connect) and removed it, it started working again.

When it works, it's brilliant. No question. Ring control is a bit fiddly, menu system is not intuitive. Overall, controls OK to good, not exceptional.

The USB port to the device is large, unweildy with the leather case on, and is device-specific. USB is USB - it should be UNIVERSAL, and use the generic small USB device plug. Like everything else!

Earphones - haven't had them break (yet?), but they are a funny size which doesn't fit easily into the ear. Or, maybe, my ear is a funny size. Anyway, the whole family complains about it, so it may be genetic....

Summary: A really good device, excellent if it were not for some silly faults. Three-and-a-half stars only. Bright screen, price, capability, ease of use Having to use Apple QuickTime with the software, random freeze-up, fiddly controls, non-standard USB, earphones.

Excellent – Overall the Sandisk Sansa is a quality built MP3 player with loads of options to keep you entertained. With the ability to play music and video playback it makes this one a bargain. One I would recommend for everyone. The audio quality is far better than any ipod. The price is also very good for a flash drive player which can play MP3 music, video… Read more

and view photos as well. There is also the ability to voice record as well. A scroll wheel is also used to navigate (like an ipod) through the menus. Putting the videos through encoding takes a while.

Excellent – The Sansa is a great compact mp3 player with a wide range of advantages over the iPod such as voice recording, FM Radio player which isn't an optional extra which you can buy, great sound quality and a vibrant screen. The build quality is very good as well. I dropped my Sansa once while running and all that showed was a tiny scratch down the side.… Read more

The jog wheel is easy to use and holding the Sansa in your hand feels nice. The screen is a lot more vibrant than the screens of any iPod and the sound quality is fantastic. The earphones on mine broke within 3 weeks of me getting it and refreshing the database after you put songs on it will take a while.

Excellent – Best value MP3 player on the market today. Plug and Play for easy installation. But better still just drag and drop music files into it using any music player. Battery life is exceptional and are replaceable. Very easy to use with a bright vibrant screen that would match any others on the market. comes with neck strap and a couple of songs and a… Read more

video already on it for demo purposes. Check this player out before buying a more expensive player. Very solid construction feels expensive, great low price, all the features you want including Fm Radio and voice recording.

Good – Good value MP3 player for the amount of memory and capability provided such as radio, voice recorder, video and music. Excellent MP3 player for its price. Has 2GB of memory and an additional 2BG can be added with microsd card. Might be 4GB microsd card if the firmware upgrade will allow it. The screen is bright and can be easily seen in daylight… Read more

and provides enought resolution for video The earphones that come with the sansa break quite easily and soon after getting them. My sister has one and hers is broken too. the system is quite buggy with random freezing or having to refresh database (take 30 sec) after disconnecting from computer.

Good – This is a very good mp3 player. Much better than the apple ipods that everyone else is getting. The price is really good when it is on sale. i got mine for $150 (when it was on sale). it looks stylish and pretty high tech. It can hold up to 500 songs and you can increase the memory with a micro SD card. It plays movies the radio and it can record… Read more

your voice and record stuff from the radio. the reason i purchased this mp3 was because someone recommended it to me, and i don't regret buying it. when you add to many songs at once you can make it freeze up. The earphones break easily. I've only had mine for almost a year and one of the earphone sides don't work at all.

Excellent – Unit is very easy to find your way around. There's even a customisable equaliser. You can also record FM radio and voice. It's a nice size that feels good in your hand. Have had mine for over 12 months and haven't had it freeze up yet, even after long periods of play. Sandisk claim up to 20hrs use on one charge - I've gone past 16 without it… Read more

Bad – I have to return this under warranty as it never goes for more than a few hours without freezing, i thought i would write this as a warning because the previous reviewer also had problems with theirs freezing. These problems aside, when the unit is running smoothly I do think its a great little machine that does everything i want it to. It is for… Read more

someone who just wants an mp3 player that will do the basics without fancy gadgets and other things they may not use. It plays FM radio too which not all mp3 players do. ease of use, low price it freezes contantly
