DPR-25 PLUS – My power cord broke and ive tried every cord in my collection and it wont work. I paid over $200 AUS and its disappointing it wont work, I've never dropped it. Would anyone no if the SANGEAN power cord is a special one only for this model. Thanks. Show details

Okay But Should Be Better For The Price – I would rate this radio as okay but should be better for the price. The sound quality is okay but lacks dynamic range, more mid range. My wife has the DPR-67 and while mono sounds about the same if not better for its size. external antenna connection would have been nice here.

It is easy to use and the bluetooth works fine.

6x C cell batteries, alkaline or NiMh, is not cheap to run. I would recommend the NiMh option if away from mains.

In hindsight I feel like I should have spent the extra cash and bought the DPR-202BT.

Top quality product – I love everything about this DAB unit. Top quality sound and the menu options are easy to manage. I'd recommend this for great value for money. It cost me AU$198 plus batteries. between songs. I can firmly say there is no noise whatsoever with my unit. Crystal clear. The line between songs on Audacity is perfectly flat indicating absolutely perfect signal. That cannot be said to my tv recordings, where there is a hiss noise coming from my tv. To the side note: I do not have any disturbing interference source near my radio. No bluetooth, no mobile phone! Either your unit is faulty or you use wireless nearby that may interfere with the signal out. I used to take this radio to my lounge room to connect it with my 7.1 surround system and it delivers perfectly what it supposed to do. (The old wired way) The only problem I had was that I accidentally broke the aerial as it was unusually soft. Luckily I could replace this aerial, and I decided to buy another unit, the same DPR-25+ in September last year so I do not need to carry it any more to the other room. The same can be said for this newer radio too: good reliable unit. I like that it is stereo, has 3 jacks (Aux In, Line Out, Headphone), rechargeable battery option with a switch inside. For its small speakers do not expect strong bass without an amplifier. I wish it had more than just 5 preset options for each band, but overall I am happy with this DAB+ radio and I would recommend it to others.

headphone listener – the whole purpose of digital radio promises a noise free experience. the el cheapo electronics of this sangeon unit results in a noticible hiss when you use headphones. this unit was not cheap. i will never buy another sangeon radio... oh, so i need a few more words... ok... Very good unit on the side of wave reception – Good quality unit, good reception, bluetooth pairing is easy, everything works fine just that sound quality is not so great. And is not just speaker problem, I think the internal amplifier is poor in frecquencies, because it lacks bass even on headphones. a way to clear that list, so if you move to another city, old stations will remain in the list combined with the new stations.

DPR-26BT which I bought from JB HF at Broardway Sydney for $229 with a bit of haggling is a solidly built well designed product quite a compact size so it is good for taking outside using rechargable batteries (LR14 c size UM2) available at Bunnings (if using rechargable batteries switch the battery compartment switch to NiMH position).

Ok the Sangean DPR-26BT when first plugged in to the power automatically scans available DAB stations and first listening the "crispness" and quality of DAB radio is apparent, just like FM is clearer than AM , digital radio is so much better than FM...absolutely NO static or background humm.

This radio has so many great features especially Bluetooth which now is essential as you can pair your smartphone music straight to the unit and the quality of the music output through the 2 small speakers is amazing.

The FM in this unit is excellent but for me a digital DAB+ station is so much better.

I would thoroughly recommend the Sangean DPR-26 BT!

...Ok... have had the Sangean DPR-26 BT for a month now and I cant find any "negatively" at all with this product..You might say expensive price wise but normally you have to pay for quality...On the plus side the clarity of the sound even when the volume is turned up almost to full is nothing short of amazing especially with DAB + digital radio ! ☺

receiving the radio I connected the radio and listened to the audio, I was not convinced that this was good, I have a Sangean PR-D3L which sounds far better, and my Tecsun PL-660 would put this new radio to shame. So I played with the DPR-26 volume control and found when the volume was fully off there is a hum and static from the right speaker when you are facing the radio, and when I increased the volume to hide the hum, the audio was far too loud for my office. If I had the volume at a low level suitable for office, I could mainly hear the static and hum, not so much the music or talk. The radio is packed back in the box and ready to go back for a refund, my opinion is this radio has a fault and it would take a lot on convincing for me to try a replacement.

An excellent radio – This is what I have been looking for. I have had two digital radios before but compared to this they were rubbish and both failed. I would like to recommend this radio to all comers. the fact that has stereo audio is a big plus. those that I have demonstrated it to will purchase soon themselves.

was immediately impressed with the CD like sound quality. My favourite station has continuous music so I can avoid annoying adds.

The DPR-26 is made with quality materials with all controls easily accessible An illuminated screen gives station ID and messages. I run only on mains power but it can use dry cells or rechargeable batteries.

This unit has all the FM and digital stations for an amazing choice of news and music. It exceeded all expectations and I will buy another for home.

Boomer – I bought this online for $119 without hearing the sound. Fortunately it turned out to be very good. Connected it to the old stereo and its now fabulous. Very pleased about everything. they only had it in white, but it still looks fine. It seems that i have to write a minimum of fifty words. quality of sound

Good performance, good built-in battery charger – I heard this mains/battery DAB+/FM radio in a shop and liked the sound. Its size suits desk or shelf use. this is a good feature, but remember to set the tiny switch inside the battery compartment to NiMH for rechargeables. Controls are intuitive and have a quality feel. There are 5 presets each for DAB+ and FM. No alarm function. The sound through the two speakers is fine for home use though not hugely powerful.

The only tone control is a News/Music switch on the side. The Music setting boosts bass but is a bit boomy on some music so I prefer News for many programs. There are minijacks for earphones, line out, and aux in. Used as a digital tuner with line out to a hifi system the sound is excellent. FM reception is not good in my area but sounds as if it would be OK with a clean signal. The back-lit LCD display is easy to read, lights up when stations are being selected, and remains on if the plug pack is in use - good design! I like this radio a lot and bought two of them.
