This lack of accountability, transparency, and support is deeply disappointing. As a paying member, it’s hard to trust the platform, so I’ve cancelled my membership and would like to warn all the tradies out there to stay away from this useless company.

This experience highlights a major failure in Service Seeking's platform. They claim to vet their tradespeople, but our experience shows they do not. There is no requirement for tradies to contribute to a dispute fund or provide any real security for customers. They simply list names and collect their fees, leaving customers to bear the full risk.

This is not an isolated incident for us. In the last four years using this platform, we have encountered numerous issues, including tradespeople who have stolen property from our home. Another installer refused to return to fix an 85-inch TV that fell down a week after installation; we were fortunate it wasn't destroyed. I urge everyone to be extremely cautious when hiring through Service Seeking.

Though I received a number of enquiries for the work I listed, to stop the listing for my job, Service Seek needed me to download their app which I find completely unnecessary. I booked the job on their Web site so should be able to stop the ad for my job on their Web site and not to have to download their app. Show details

Huge waste of time. Clearly list task and date. Many quotes ignoring my price, contact me anyway, offer to do at double the price. Contacted by someone who Agreed on price. Exchanged date, address. Then says cannot do for 3 weeks, do sudden influx of other jobs. My impression is a bunch of time wasters. I only want to hear from someone who is interested with task at price and date. The response was certainly quick but the initial message suggested I would receive a call shortly. I did receive two but the vast majority didn't and I was not able to see any quote if I clicked on their name. One potential contractor was quite irate that I had not responded to him!
