Bad Batch maybe??? – I have had 2 brand new Siemens TK76K673 coffee machines and as soon as they are turned on burning smell of smoke comes out the back ... then water fails to heat up. Is it possible that a 110V element has been fitted to a batch destined for Australia (240V) ... the retailers are at a loss ... any one had this problem happen to them?
Hi Siemens, You wouldn't believe it but since writing that review a third one came in and the same problem. Finally the 4th arrived and it was all good and now we are enjoying a fully functional machine that makes great coffee's ... Apparently there were a batch with pump problems that caused the issue we had. We were certainly inconvenienced but all good now ... maybe a few months supply of good coffee beans or descale tabs from Siemens might have been a great PR exercise on Siemens behalf?? Regards Mike

Your further assistance would be to send us a supply of descale tabs or some good quality coffee beans ... Spartan Electrical in SA have been excellent throughout this entire saga, but nothing was ever heard (except these standard replies) from Siemens the manufacturer. We purchased over $20,000 worth of Siemens products in our kitchen and we do love all of them ... BUT the coffee machine really did test our patience and a bit more of a caring and compensating attitude from Siemens would have been appreciated. After all isn't that what all good companies do?

Great machine – Agree it makes great fresh coffee, but getting prompt service in Oz is hard and parts in a timely manner even harder, i now buy parts, descaler, filters from Siemens UK online store, very easy, they wont sell or ship to Australia so just use a frieght forwarder like Skypax, easy as. About time Siemens Australia caught up to the real world and had an online platform for simple parts and cleaning items

What do you mean not sold in Australia, I bought it from Retravision in Osborne Park , Perth in 2010?? I also bought an oven, steam oven, dishwasher all in Perth WA.

Although your model coffee machine has been discontinued, the spare parts to this machine are still available in Australia.

We're in love – We have just built our house and included this inbuilt coffee machine with our kitchen appliance selections. When we first saw a coffee machine in a show home we thought it was a bit pretentious and too expensive. When I did my kitchen appliance selections I was given a demo of this coffee machine and was presented with a beautiful cappucino to try. It was "wow" at first sight (and taste). I ordered one much to hubby's disgruntled protests (due to it's price).
We have just moved in and started using it. We both learnt how to make our ideal coffees, and for the first few times we were like 2 kids watching how a new toy operates! Now when anyone visits hubby always asks "can I make the coffees" and loves to show off our new "toy". The water tank holds a Brita filter which assures you a "cleaner" tasting cuppa. The coffee beans are freshly ground for each cup (or you can use ground coffee if you wish in a seperate compartment), and the milk frother is very effective with more than adequate froth in your cappucino. Another great thing we appreciate is the coffee serves are always hot (we find cafe bought ones are always lukewarm) - for this reason I have bought a travel coffee mug and make one to go. The coffee strength and serve size is adjustable by setting. The best part is the machine self cleans when you turn it off and you have an option to clean the milk frothing equipment also. Making coffee is super easy, though every now and again you have to fill the water tank or empty the drip tray. Other options include Latte Machiatto, Flat White, My Coffee (you can tailor your own coffee) Milk Froth, and hot water can also be used for tea. We added a pull out serving drawer underneath the machine in our kitchen cabinetry which has enhanced our coffee service experience. We're both total converts now and love entertaining friends who are also equally impressed with their cuppas. Highly recommend and believe it is worth the price! The coffee dispenser is adjustable to any size cup or mug - a lot of other machines don't! It also has a self cleaning action which is a real godsend! Nothing really, though the right type of Brita filter and descaling tablets for this machine were a little difficult to source, however I have now found a supplier
