Stay clear - Sagged in under two years! – We bought a Nexus Gel about 3 years ago. After about 2 years it had sagged heaps and there were significant body indentations. Felt like sleeping in a valley with two mountains either side. I'm not heavy 50kg and partner is 70kg. We complained to sleepmaker and they said it was 'normal'. After considerable negotiations they finally said they would repair under warranty. Now the 'repaired' mattress is doing that same thing, less than 6 months later.
To hot – I bought this bed about two months ago and while I live in the mountains and it is winter I am so hot at night I have to get up and walk around the house till I cool down !! It is comfortable enough and felt great in the shop but after about half an hour it is unbearably hot. The only solution I have found is to cover the mattress with two cotton quilts and that makes it reasonable but not great. Very bad purchase . Comfortable in shop Holds the heat !
Well I have emailed sleepmaker but so far no reply.
Sleepmaker are ignoring me ! They just don't care once they have your money , terrible .
My near new Sleepmaker Gel Mattress is going to the tip! Sleepmaker would do nothing,Domayne where useless,so I have ordered a new bed and base . Words can not express how very disappointed I am with the whole mess. I am out of pocket so much money that it is going to take me over two years to pay off and apart from that I have not had a good sleep since I bought bed.

Interesting as I have just done research on mattresses and currently have a latex and was going to change to a Sleepmaker Gel along with 2 of my friends. This information has now sent me back out to look at another manufacturer I shall not be purchasing from Sleepmaker nor my friends after hearing of you experience with this company. Very bad reviews Sleepmaker not good service? Word of mouth travels very fast.
Absoluley woeful – We have had this bed for about three weeks and it has begun to sag and it is feeling very soft already. On top of that it feels like there is a peice of timber straight done the middle separating the bed into two. The one in the shop was excellent, firm, supportive great bed. The one I received is an absolute lemon. I am waiting to hear from the sleepmaker rep, will keep you posted. Excellent feel in the shop Nothing like the one I demo'd at the shop
Give up on waiting for Sleepmaker to help. Their customer service is non-existent. I waited for 4mths for them and finally went straight to Shop manager who is offering me a choice of a new mattress
i have bought one just like yours.just like you said that the on in the shop (Harvey Norman bedding Caringbah)was very good. My doughter only weight 45kg, the middle of the bed begun to sag after 6 month. i have been waited 7 months for Sleepmaker rep, should i just go to shop manager?
I also have had trouble with a simmons gel mattress (sleepmaker owned) and after contacting both simmons and sleepmaker directly had no response. I have now contacted the shop I bought from and she said to always go back to the shop of purchase to arrange for refunds/swaps as they have direct contact with the reps for the companies. I now have to jump through hoops and take photos etc. before the rep will even deign to look at my warranty claim.
I bought the sleepmaker Nexus gel ensemble a few months ago and while I find it comfortable I would not recommend it to anyone . It is way to hot ! It warms up over the first half hour and just stays that way all night. I had to keep getting up to cool off and some night I sleep on the couch and it's winter ! The only solution I have found is to cover the mattress with a cotton overlay, still hot but better.
i have had one of these beds for 10 months and it is terrible big problem with sagging, i now have back issues and i am waiting for sleep maker to come back to me..
its best to skip the rep and go straight to the store manager. Let them know that the product does not live up to what it was sold to you as and ask for a refund or a replacement of another mattress. I did.
