Good – I've had this for several years before selling the apartment I was living in and it gave no problems at all. I needed a 45cm wide dishwasher and there isn't a lot of choice. I first had an Ariston that broke the first time I used it, so it was returned to the supplier and swapped for this Smeg. It has a lot more useable space inside than the 45cm Miele dishwasher (you certainly can't fit a Kenwood Chef bowl in the top basket of one of those). Overall I was surprised how happy I was with it. It looks good, it washes well, it fits a Kenwood Chef bowl in or the top and bottom baskets None really. I've heard quieter dishwashers, but listening to it is much more pleasant than listening to me complain about washing up by hand.

Bad – overall if I were looking to buy one - i think i would keep looking - size is great but for features its terrible. It is very annoying having to muck around with the terrible knob. Ours has also just broken down (3years old) not looking forward to repair costs!!!!! Slim and simple. Washes well if kept clean. Dry cycle is fine - not sure what issue was with prev review. Very expensive - ours came with the house but I would never pay that sort of price for such a featureless dishwasher.

This dishwasher still has a dial like an old washing machine and you need to get it 'just so' to start a cycle or it will just sit and make noise. In regards to noise - this is one of the noisiest dishwashers I have heard - we used to have an Asko which was silent apart from water slushing noise when close to the door. The Smeg makes banging and clunking noises with each cycle.
