It great for about 7 years – It is an okay Television looks okay but then it is pretty average with regards to picture and viewing quality, speakers are pretty average would recommend get a speaker system. But about 2 weeks ago it just stopped, no warning nothing worked great day before then just went blank and turned off, would recommend but probably avoid and get newer TV.

Nothing beats my HX75! – It's 2014 and still can't find a TV that could make me do the jump to a bigger screen (mine is a 32"). The so hated "soap opera effect" is what I love the most from my TV 'cause It makes the picture look so clear, sharp, smooth and full of detail. I'd better wait more time to spend money on a bigger TV, a 4K Sony LED definitely. Reliable at an inexpensive price!

About average – I bought the sony bravia television from dick smith with a 2 year warranty guarantee / it gets hot quicker though have had it for more than a year without a hassle except I had to buy a booster for it to pick up freeview channels more easier though the remote control has been dropped so many times it's not funny and it's still going after all this time / it's a sony

Sony Bravia HX750 40" – After lot of research i bought this TV. I compared few other brands with this one (Samsung & Panasonic). There are many reasons why i bought this TV, one of them is that the price was best among the other brands at the of purchase. Sony had more features than any other TV in the market with with good price tag. Overall i am very happy with the TV. Good Picture quality NIL

Top class TV – I was looking for a Samsung 3D 40" Internet-enabled TV, but I got so cheesed off with Samsung. The current 2012 "ES" models of Samsung are obsolete, they're being replaced with the new 2013 "F" models. However, there are very few "F" model Samsungs currently available - and I got sick of retailers trying to sell me ES model Samsungs at top… Read more

dollar prices, when they're an obsolete model!

A few websites do tell you the ES are obsolete, but not many - usually only those that have no stock.

I was perusing the Harvey Norman website and suddenly spotted a "discontinued" model sellout, with 25% off, that only appears to have been on for about 2 days. It was a "store only" sale.

I rushed over to the nearest HN store and found they only had 46" ES model Samsungs, and HN still wanted $1225 for them - despite the "25% off discontinued models" sale.

I had a budget of $1000 maximum and wanted an Internet-enabled 40" 3D TV. Suddenly the salesman said - "I have two of these Sony 46" Internet-enabled 3D TV's left - for $998!" This TV had a list price originally of $2499 - although after a price check, most seemed to be selling around $1300-$1500.

I hadn't looked at the Sony specifications previously, so the salesman went and got them and printed them out for me. The only difference between the Sony and the Samsung was the Sony was LCD and the Samsung was LED (yes, Product Review - you have this Sony listed as "LED" - but the specifications states "LCD".)

I bought the Sony because I've never had a problem with Sony products. The Samsungs are like Toyota - good, but too much of a price premium.

The Sony HX750 was easy to set up - however it took us an hour to find the screws hidden in the foam packing!

Setup was easy, including Internet setup via my wireless router. Everything works great, the picture quality is excellent, the features are all very comprehensive.

The remote seems a little cheap-looking, and has nasty sharp corners - but the controls are user-friendly and the button layout is good.

All in all, I'm very happy with the set - and even more so, seeing as I got it at a great price! Energy efficient, Internet-enabled, 3D, great picture quality. Remote appears a bit cheap and has uncomfortable sharp corners that dig into your hand.

Love this tv – Love this tv. It looks good and is so light, making it much easier to move when I want to re-arrange the furniture. The picture quality is sharp and clear. Colour is good.Has lots of other features which I probably will never use. Would have been nice if 3d glasses were included like some of the other brands. It also doesn't have that lag time… Read more

like my old sony when you change channels and it's great not to have so much heat coming off the screen anymore. Very happy energy efficient, great picture quality. Looks good sick off shiny piano black tv frames. why not grey or matt?

Very happy with my Bravia! – Replaced a 2007 Sony 40" LCD with this 55" HX750 series Bravia. Straight forward setup to get TV reception, PVR and DVD working. Followed the bouncing ball to get Internet setup. A bit fiddly to get the unit to 'see' my PC so I could do wireless streaming but it came together in the end and the result is great. The picture is much better than my… Read more

old unit and I am pleasantly surprised at the Internet TV and video streaming image quality. Even simulated 3D works surprisingly well with a standard TV picture. Picture quality, ease of use, range of features. Only one set of 3D goggles, no Sony guidance to setup my PC as a DLNA server.
