Sony KFWE42S1 Grand Wega WS Series LCD Rear

Excellent – The best picture quality I have ever seen in a television. Automatic upscaling of standard definition to high definition of video sources is a major plus. DVDs and satellite television have never looked so good, to the point where one would have to question running out and buying a HD-DVD or Blu-Ray player - at least until the format war settles down. This television certainly brings new life to an existing DVD collection and you will find yourself watching your favourite DVDs all over again, just to see the improvement in detail as a result of the high definition upscaling.
The light output of this television is incredible. It has a brighter display in normal daytime viewing than the CRT televisions I currently have scattered through the house. The television also has a wide viewing angle. I saw no loss of detail from various angles in a room measuring 4 x 5.5 metres (13 x 18 feet).
The television has a multitude of composite, s-video, and component inputs. The only thing lacking is HDMI inputs.
Considering the price these types of televisions are now selling for from Sony, they represent excellent value for money. I am sure that anybody who purchases one of these televisions, will certainly be very impressed. High detailed pictures with a wide contrast range. High light output allowing the television to be viewed in the brightest of conditions. Automatic upscaling of standard definition sources, such as DVD and satellite television to high definition. Lack of HDMI inputs.
