good enough. has a background hiss. worth getting at a discount – I bought it on ebay for $80AUD and i bought the Bose quiet comfort 3 for a friend. The Bose headphones (quiet comfort 3) are far more superior at cancelling noise than these Sony ones, however they are nearly 10x the price. These, for the price are OK but you can still hear noise. It's not as effective as the Bose and with these Sony ones you can hear a background hiss. Paying $80 (as opposed to $400), i'm satisfied with the product. Although if you have the money to spend, i'd recommend getting the bose quiet comfort 3 which are very very good and have no background hiss.
