Sony RDPM15iP

Decent iPod dock but didn't last long – I have been happy with this product with two provisos: the rechargeable battery costs over $100 to replace once it stops working and the whole device stopped working after 2 years. The battery lasted about a year for me, and when I found out how expensive it was to replace I wished I had made the effort to use the dock on mains power more to extend the battery life. I was able to keep using it until recently it stopped working altogether. I had not dropped it so not sure what happened. The annoying thing is that it can't be repaired so now goes to landfill. Easy to use, good sound for spoken word, plain design Batteries expensive to replace, broke after 2 years, only basic equaliser options
This was a great Xmas present for me! – I bought the Sony RDPM15IP for my Xmas pressie, for $199.00 instead of buying a special limited deal for 2 Sony iphone docking speakers, SONY ICFDS15IPB speaker & SONY RDPM5IP speaker for $189.00, which was offered by David Jones. I chose the Sony RDPM15IP as it was portable with an internal chargeable battery, with a good sound, and you can flip the iphone to a horizontal position, where as the other 2 products had similar features but one was not portable and other one which was portable had to have AAA external batteries, and the sound was not as good.
I've learned although special offers do exist, you really have to compare the items in the store to see what really suits your needs, I was happy with my end decision and I've used the docking system everyday since I've bought it, and it has been a hit with the family.
It has been great for entertaining guests, and when we have BBQ's.
Also the cost for this was $199.00 and is more affordable than other brands in the market such as the BOSE systems. Fantastic to move around the house with ease, can take it to park, inexpensive compared to Bose Would be great if Sony could make the maximum volume just a bit louder, although not a huge issue.
