Makes FPS playable!! – I have now owned 2 Split Fish. Purchased v1 about 4 years ago and have loved it ever since. The build quality on v1 was not great – especially the x/o buttons on the mouse. Saying that It didn’t miss a beat until a firmware update from Sony killed it. I ordered the latest corded version – not a big fan of wireless (for a reduced price due to the firmware upgrade). This version is much better build quality. The x/o buttons are still not fantastic but it has improved. there is also improvements to the chuck and mouse.

I use the mouse on my jeans playing on the couch. The laser has no problem with movement. Additionally to the in game sensitivity options it also has a manual sensitivity wheel on the mouse itself. Quite useful for in game adjustments. The chuck also has a frag button which reduces your sensitivity when sniping in scoped mode. Useful for Battlefield 3.

It works with any game, plug and play. There is no compatibility issues or software to install.

If I didn’t have this controller I would have sold my PS3 years ago. Your online gaming experience will improve tenfold.

Would highly recommend this product – especially to anyone who has played FPS on the PC. Fantastic Product - makes gaming fun Very “Plasticy” – although never missed a beat

Splitting fishes – This is a really nice looking unit. BUT.... It was ergonomically designed for an ape as not many people have hands big enough to hold the mouse and reach all the buttons comfortably. Seriously, who would design such a big mouse? It's more like a rat not a mouse! I have adult hands so I imagine kids with small hands, getting this mouse for Xmas etc, would be disappointed.

Here's some measurements of my PC mouse and the Splitfish mouse

Logitech mouse, Splitfish

Model # M-R001 FragFX Shark

-End to end = 115mm 143mm

-Height = 40mm 45mm

-Width = 65mm 83mm

(below palm)

Mouse button actuation is ok for left and right.

Scroll wheel operation is ok.

The PS3 buttons are a real problem to reach with the right thumb. The X can be reached ok. The Square and Circle buttons are a 50/50 reachability depending on your thumb length and how you're operating with the mouse. The Triangle button CAN NOT be reached without lifting palm off desk/table surface. If you can reach the Triangle button ok then you will have to scrunch your thumb back to press the X button.

The overall mouse dimansions make usage a chore. You can't really rest your palm on the table surface which means you will get a sore wrist and arm from the way you are compelled to use it with palm mostly off the table. Accentuating this is the mouses slippery surface where your palm must contact it. The width of the mouse means that you can't move a cursor across the screen in the same easy finger movement as with a normal mouse. The 3D CAD guy at Splitfish needs to scale the whole mouse down by 75%.

The Frag Chuck is an ok size. There are, however, a couple of problems with it that I found through use....

1- The buttons at the very front of it (Frag button , L1, L2) need to be contoured differently so that it is obvious which finger is on which button. As it stands, accidental two button presses are very easy to do and it's very frustrating.

2- The 'Adjustment wheel' WILL cause a jittery mouse action depending on where it's set. Frustrating. Mouse is not as pinpoint accurate as suggested.

Overall, disappointed. (Has so much more potential) Nice blue light. Insane physical size, poor button reachability and jitted mouse action.
