Steelcraft Elite Reverse Handle

Terrible – Didnt like it one bit and am very dissapointed in it. I have looked after it just over a year now and the material is catching on the pram everytime you fold it up and open it and is slightly bent now cause it doesnt fold up properly. And the wheels are very hard to steer. Not happy will be looking else where.
Good – Overall I am very positive about this pram. We've been using it for 4 months now and have had no really negative experiences with it. It is a good size for transporting in the car, it is easy to use and it does everything the baby needs. I think the only thing that it would be bad at is jogging with. But then again, I don't do that anyway. :)… Read more
Very easy to collapse and unfold. Fits in our hatchback boot with plenty of space for shopping and other stuff. Was half the price of other similar models and comes with all the extras included. The elasticated flyscreen in particular is fabulous. Our baby has been in it since newborn and it was very comfortable for sleeping. The wheels are a little close together so I kick them a lot when I have it in rear-facing mode.
OK – A good reverse handle pram overall. Just be aware of the warranty with the pram which is repair only if you run into problems. The pram is comfy for my son and looks great. The extras are great and the price is also very affordable, particularly if you shop around. I love the reverse handle but it just takes too long to change around when on the… Read more
go that I rarely use it. The wheels squeak at times and we had this problem also with the Steelcraft Acclaim and fought Steelcraft for a refund when this occurred within the first 7 days. The squeak on the Elite took a couple of weeks to show up so we just put up with it but it is nowwhere near as bad as the Acclaim.
Bad – I guess you get what you pay for. This pram was only about $300 brand new, so you cant expect too much from it. I use it as a second spare pram (I have an Emmaljunga) and for that purpose its ok. I wouldnt have wanted to have paid much more than I did for it, as the quality is low. The plastic is very flimsy and the brakes and steering are not… Read more
very good at all. I would recommend this pram if you were on a very limited budget and willing to overlook a few things. Compact. Light enough to lift into the car boot. Dark colour to help hide dirt or stains. The basket is way too small. The wheels are annoying and wobbly.
Terrible – Wheels are a nightmare- they're too close together and so when you're pushing the pram you kick and/or trip on the wheels. Steering requires 'abs of steel', I think this is related to the wheels- they wobble around all over the place, the little plastic tabs which either lock the wheels into a straight position or unlock allowing the wheels to… Read more
move freely don't work at all, they pop out unexpectedly and even when locked the wheels are free to move about. This causes speed wobbles at seriously slow speeds. The back doesn't fully recline. The brakes are a pain, 4 individual brakes?? why would you not have a single bar that locks all the wheels at the same time?? I've had the brakes pop out of lock position if they are not completely depressed. The steelcraft is hard to negotiate up curbs and virtually impossible on uneven ground. I worry that I might accidentally catch my son's fingers in the handle latch when changing from forward facing to rear facing- the catch where the handle locks to is well within his reach, I'm vigilant but one day he might be too quick for me and get his fingers caught. I've had to buy a sun cover extension because the one on the buggy is not much more than token. I can't believe that when spending hundreds of dollars one can be rewarded with such a terrible product. Oh and a cup holder would be nice too. It makes me want to design my own stroller!! Large basket underneath, reversible handle. Wheels are a nightmare, steering requires 'abs of steel', gets the speed wobbles are anything faster than a medium-slow walk, doesn't fully recline, brakes are a pain, hard to negotiate up curbs, virtually impossible on uneven ground. I worry that I might accidentally catch my son's fingers in the handle latch when changing from forward facing to rear facing- the catch where the handle locks to is well within his reach. A larger sun cover would be nice.
Bad – Handle is too short or in wrong position so I often kick wheels when pushing. Wheels buckle when reversing. Difficult to get it up or down a step - concertinas and bounces baby around and it is hard to find a foot hold to raise the front wheels. Very difficult to push on uneven ground - when one side is high ground and the other side is low, the… Read more
stroller heads downhill. Difficult to access storage below the seat when back rest is down. Fairly easy to collapse but somestimes doesnt quite lock into place when uncollapsing without a good shake - always a worry whether its properly locked. Takes up a lot of space in the car and is awkward to pickup. Reversing the handle itself is easy but then you have to go around to each wheel and flick the tiny latch to free the front wheels and lock the back ones. Watchout for babies hands when reversing the handle! The warm weather cover hits my baby's face when the back rest is up. No place to attach pram toy. Backrest adjustment mechanism sometimes wont engage or disengage. Suncover could come over the top of baby a bit further, especially in the most upright sesated position. Rain cover is a bit fiddly to put on - takes time to work out which way to put on. One leaver to activate break would be better. Reversable handle so baby can face you or face outwards. 3 recline positions - almost flat for sleeping, sitting completely upright, and one setting between these two. Comes with rain cover, cold weather cover ans fly net. Affordable. Wonky, squeeky, bulky.
Terrible – very dissapointed with this product. would never buy the elite reverse handle stroller again. steering is absolutely terrible. i have a 22 month old and pregnant with my 2nd baby. am looking to buy a new pram as i will defiantly NOT be using this pram a second time round large basket with zip up mesh covering. reversable handle. very hard to… Read more
steer. annoying to have to take the steering lock of and lock it back in on each wheel when you reverse the handle. very hard to access basket when pram is laying flat. pram heads down hill on uneven ground.
Good – realy love the pram it is gr8 i just wish that it steered beter on uneven ground my baby loves it with her lambs wool and winter cover she is snug as a bug :) the large basket underneath, the winter cover, and the reverse handle when walking on uneven ground it walks on a lean and is hard to steer.
