Talon 28cc Falcon F560X

Excellent – If I could try all Talons and choose again, based on my experience so far, I'd choose the model AT33585 28cc Eagle Classic as the AEA102 Edger attachment is INCLUDED!! (exclusive to Big W?) and it's a curved shaft weighing in at 2kg less (5.2kg). I am more than happy with this model but feel it is best suited to general trimming and not edging. Easy to assemble. Easy to start. Tonnes of power. Many optional attachments eg. Edger Attachment Model AEA102 Quality, quality, quality! 24 month warranty. According to a neighbour who also has a Talon, the reason Talon is such a reliable and quality brand is because its parent company is Husqvarna!

Operation-wise, this model is much more powerful than my previous GMC curved shaft. It's also better quality so is heavier (7.1kg). I've only used it once so far and find it a bit challenging to trim a straight clean edge (being used to a curved shaft). I'm sure that after a few more sessions, I'll master it. If not, I'll be sure to order the Edger attachment (as the majority of trimming is for edging a substantial length of paths).
