don't bother. Had a dodgy connection about 6months ago which I soldered and back to good again. Cable from unit to earbuds could be 6" longer so I can tuck it in my pocket and not in my belt when walking (I'm 6' 2"). So 99/100 from me.

Good accessory to keep handy – Bought a pair of these to use when stuck on airliners. quality significantly, as I can at last hear the music or movie that I have going. The earbuds are very comfortable, but the battery/switch box is poorly positioned on the cable - leaving only short leads to the earbuds resulting in the box often hanging awkwardly unless you clip it to a pocket or collar. The cable could be a bit longer too. Negatives aside, these are a permanent addition to my travel bag - until I can grow the guts to spring for some Sennheisers anyway.

I'm slightly dubious as to the frequency range advertised and the noise cancelling aspects though, as the headphones seem to produce a lot of static noise above 15KHz, and there is little to no perceivable difference between off and on as far as noise cancelling goes - there's a little bit of amplification, but I can still hear ambient noise the same as when they're off, regardless of whether or not they're plugged in, regardless of whether or not a song is playing.

It also seems a bit strange to have 40cm of lead before the battery box, and 75cm of lead to the headphones. With a battery installed the box seems clunky and wants to pull the phones out of my ears. It would be useful if there was a clip included, even if it attaches to the lead, to be able to take the weight of the battery box. Like other reviews, I also noticed the cheap feel of the switch and the noises produced when plugging the headphones in or turning them on.

All things considered, I'm slightly disappointed in the lack of apparent noise cancellation, and the battery box, but I'm looking forward to putting these to good use. Clarity, Inexpensive, Comfortable Poor active noise cancellation, clumsy battery box

Good for $13 but not great – I purchesed these for $13 as mentioned and there not bad but not great either. There is a lot of his and crackle when the noise cancelling is on and it can be quite distracting. Decent, but slowly failing – I got a pair of these for Xmas. I'm no audiophile, so to me, the sound was great, and the earphones fit comfortably. Much better than the [censored word removed] HTC earphones. I never really used the noise-cancellation, and the empty battery box didn't really bother me. on the side of the earphone facing out. I noticed this when I took them out of my ear while in the library and realised how loud it was, even though my volume was about 60%. Another problem is that since last month, the left earphone has become much softer than the other. I have tried it on different devices, and it's the same thing. Nice design, great sound, snug fit. Left earphone not working, sounds leaks through outer mesh.

found myself switching the NC off and on and smiling to myself... I like them for what i paid they are good value for money, I paid $30 Aus delivered to my door so my expectations were not the greatest and never set out to put these up against $300+ units but as a set of commuters worked just fine... highly irritating cable noise, which may prove to be a deal-breaker for athletes. Also, the on-off switch for the sound-cancelling is bulky and heavy and drags down upon the ear buds unless it is resting on something, a table for instance. I got around this problem by wrapping a rubber band around the box, and simply clipping it to my shirt with a small bulldog clip, which allows me to move freely.

The sound cancelling works very well, though as is expected a loud noise will interfere with your listening pleasure. The normal price of these earphones is no particularly cheap, but nor is it too expensive. It is definitely a worthwhile investment. And they don't guarantee to cancel everything. they say less or equal to 12 dB. i have tried it on trains + trams + buses, and it works quite well, also sometimes on people who you don't want to listen to. On a scale of 1-10 of how well if you're stationary e.g. sitting. is 8, it is a bit annoying that the cable is just long enough to reach from my pocket to my torso

On a scale of 1-10 of how well if you are moving is 3, almost everything else on the market beats it in terms of jogging, walking. I get rid of this problem by making it rest on my bag which i carry with me.

The battery placement is absurd, it really is.

middle of the cord. Ridiculous placement, as it gets in the way constantly and the weight means that jogging is out, because any sudden movement shifts the ear-pieces. (Oh, and if you don't remember to turn the box off, the battery keeps working until it runs down.) Sound is good. Noise cancelling works. Ear-thingies fit well, provided you don't move around. Battery box too big, too heavy and stupidly placed.
