Thor Piccola WP5D

customer service from place of purchase was non-existent – If you have this unit set up by a professional (in this case an engineer and a carpenter) you may get it to work, otherwise its an oversized ornament. Once I had it professionally set up (several hours) it does a reasonable job for a few small dishes (large dinner plates won't fit and the cup rack is useless).

Excellent – We are about to renovate our kitchen and have to sell our Thor on EBAY = I believe we will get back 50% of our buying price which is really good and I will be happy to recommend it to a buyer with the above comments. Hope the rust doesn't put them off, doesn't affect it. BTW, bigger than a microwave. If you just wash on strong wash for two people - GREAT BUY. (we paid $400 new two years ago) Good looking, reliable, good re-sale value, works pretty much every time. Noisy, we've had ours two years and it's already got rust! (no we're not dirty people!)lol ... Just me and my husband and we have to put the wash on at least every two days normally. This isn't very convenient, but cheaper than a new kitchen to fit a good size dishwasher! Our hose has sprung a couple of leaks and tap fitting is a bit dodgy. ONLY works well on the strong wash - don't waste your time with the other washes, doesn't wash well on them.
OK – I have had my Thor dishwasher for 18 months and it has had 2 major leaks. The first from the inlet hose and the second from underneath the machine. It has been a hassle to get it fixed under warranty and both times I was without the machine for more than a month. I think it is only a matter of time before it leaks again and I will be up for the full costs of the repair as it is outside warrranty. Fits into small compact space - where conventional dishwashers won't fit Problems with leaking and repairs
Excellent – I have baught this dishwasher 2nd hand from my old housemate who previously owned it for over a year. I cant fault it, i paid $200 for it second hand and use the strong wash every night. For me, a single male, it is perfect. yeah there isnt much space on the cup rack if you put in large dishes, however there is always some other space you can find for mugs cups etc.
just looked on here to see what others had to say and thought id say i like mine, definately something i would reccomend to men for a bachelor pad.
I havent tried washing car parts or tools in it yet though. It does the washing up for me, takes 45 min. not much, some reviews say noise, but i dont mind it, though i am a male.
yeah i had a leak in a hose, i just fixed it myself. given that its years old and second hand i think its great
Terrible – This was the only option for me when my existing Thor fell apart. It was all plastic components, so was bound to happen, but this new Thor is abyssmal. I actively hate it. My dinner plates are big - great - but, can only fit into one of the plate slots, thus I cannot use the top shelf for water glasses, cups etc. The said shelf cannot take a coffee mug. And the noise, my God, I can't co-exist with this machine. I don't like this dish-washer at all. The NOISE.
The time it takes - interminable.
The size - why couldn't I get spares for my old Thor - it was PERFECT. Quiet, quick and fitted into the space in my apartment kitchen.

I found the thor benchtop dishwasher a complete dud from design to manufacture. It leaks. At times it has pumped water out from its door all over my benchtop. The layout of the interior makes it very difficult to load. It has no programs except 65 degree wash or 55 degree wash. Avoid at all costs.
