Good for short period of time – Bought this product twice. After 1.5 yr both stopped getting detected on TV. TV gets auto shut off. When Connected to TV some times all media files are played...some times they are not. Not sure if it's just me :( Yes the reading is really fast. When Connected to laptop no issues at all.
Simple portable HDD – Great product and works fine for all my backing up of data. The only issue I had was that when I plugged it into my PC it worked, but then into my mac it could only read the data and not write. I wish they had some instructions or pamphlet to help you use a portable HDD across different computer types. Large Space, Easy to Write, Quick, Small, Light Could only read on Mac
Not being too conversant with modern technology I need help step by step on how to backup my photo files and contacts etc onto my Toshiba external hard drive. I plugged it in and it very nicely said it was all okay and ready to go, but I don't know how to get my files onto it and there are no instructions. Where do I go next?
phyllis
phyllis- after your hard drive is plugged in and ready to go, right click on which ever file you would like to store, scroll down to "send to" , click on your external hard drive (E:). A good idea is to create folders for your photo`s e.t.c and import the entire folder after you have finished creating it.
Great product – Excellent product. Really easy to use, just plug it in and go. It's also fast, it took no time at all to back up all of my data from my laptop and to copy all the files from my old external hard drive. It's small size makes it easy to store and take with me when needed. Inexpensive, light weight, small, easy to use
Good Product, Yet the 3.0 USB Socket is loose, i lost all my data due to continueous Disconnection I Wonder how Toshiba didn't test this
I haven't lost my data - yet - but the loose connection is really bugging me - especially since the lead connection to the product is dedicated - not universal.
