Toshiba Satellite A70

Bad – It was fine for just general computer work, pretty much useless for games beyond the most simple variety. Ours was a rental, I had to frequently send it for repairs. The overheating problems is because the intake vents are underneath the computer and no matter how clean the work area is I found it constantly built up with dust over time and then overheated or just didn't work properly, the fix each time was for them to replace the cooling fan or something. I definitely didn't think it was worth paying $100 or whatever to buy this one at the end of the rental agreement. Not to mention I frequently got an electric shock on my wrists from the speakers, had to be careful where my hands were when typing. But we moved on and the next two laptops have been Tohsiba as well (not rental) and have not had any such issues with the others....except maybe games because my husband doesn't play games so doesn't get game friendly specs :( I don't have much that I would rave about really Speakers give electric shock

Very prone to getting clogged up with dust and then overheating or malfunctioning

Not very good at playing anything but the very most basic of games

OK – This is one of 3 laptops we own, all Toshiba so we do like this brand. If you are after a basic laptop then this is a good choice. Ours is still going strong and other than it getting very hot when it is charging we have had no other issues with it. If you were to keep it on a desk you probably wouldnt notice but since we use ours on our laps it can sometimes be a bit of an issue - Runs well

- Good size screen - It gets very hot when plugged into the charger, so much that it is too hot to place on your lap

- It seems to attract alot of dust which gets under the keyboard

Excellent – This Toshiba has lasted me over 5 years & Still going Strong. Its so reliable. Great desktop Replacement. It is that good i compelled me to choice a New Toshiba satellite M300/300 which is just awesome over a Macbook. Toshiba's suport is Unbeatable. RELIABLE Have to keep clean from dust because can overheat.

Excellent – Anyone looking for a second hand laptop would go right with one of these. Has never let me down apart from the charging socket breaking. 2 hours research on the net and $5 in parts has fixed it for good. A really good unit. Can only consider replacing with another Toshiba. Great screen, fast and powerful (or was when new). Can run hot, need to be sure fan screens underneath are clean.

Excellent – I hae had 2 acer laptops before,and with this one (that i am using at this moment), you can just tell that the overall quality of it is fantasti. It came highly recommended to me by a friend and I am passing that recommendatin on. There are 2 usb ports and the battery lasts for a decent amount of time. It has also handled a couple of big knocks this is he best laptop I have ever owned. It is fast, has ample storage and all the features that a pc would have It would be great if it was a little lighter
