Toshiba XD-E500-K-TY

Good – Toshiba invented the DVD player and it shows. It is a quality product that is fully featured and easy to use. To be honest, a waste of money as Blu-Ray players (even name brands) are so cheap nowdays. Quality of upscaling much better than previous Samsung DVD recorder I had with upscaling built in. Love the Piano black finish and lights. Remote fairly easy to use. Should have spent the money on a Blu-Ray player as most of them up-scale anyway. Not enough audio features for my liking.

Good – This was purchased after 2 LG DVD player returns. Preferably would have purchased a Panasonic unit if stock was available at the store. Purchased it as I have had no issues with Toshiba purchases. Play most formats; DivX, MP3, WMA and JPEG playback. HDMI and digital optical connection. Initially the price when it was available, nearly $200 considering there were other well branded players that could do the same but cheaper.
