Besides the markup restaurants add, sometimes they don't provide the care they would put to a walk in customer. I've ordered meat dishes that are so full of fat & grissel, not even a dog would eat. received my last order which was delivered 75 minutes later because they don't think about food going cold & soggy, they just want to make as much money as possible. Sure they don't earn as much as they should. The problem is uber. Get your cr#p together, pay the drivers more & limit the amount of stops so that everyone is happier. I've never complained as much in Melbourne or Gold coast. Sydney is where everything wrong does happen.

Apparently the driver orders the food then picks up the food. If the order is wrong or missing items, the driver disappears and the restaurant is not liable. I ordered 120 worth of meals about 40 dollars worth turned up and nobody was accountable. Death to Uber Eats, disgrace for hamsters to operate. Show details

I have regularly received the wrong items and not been given a refund. Yesterday I provided photos and they said I received the correct order even though photos showed I didn’t get a battered sav and potato scallop. Previously I received a complete wrong order from Harry’s Cafe and they didn’t refund the order. Photos below. even more frustrating when Uber Eats adds a hidden $5 surcharge to each order item. They are then are deceitful enough to not include the extra $5 per item ordered in the delivery charges. Ignore the delivery charges and discounts they show, they are adding $5 per item for the privilege of fighting with a slow clunky online order site. The food is great but do yourself a favour and use one of their alternative delivery services.

Uber eats charges the restaurant high fees to be involved, and then increases the prices to the customer by 69.5%

We questioned the charges in Uber Eats and they confirmed that these were the correct charges.

I ordered Garlic Bread along with other items from Pizza Hut Wing Street Werribee, Melbourne on 25 April 2026. It was never delivered and money was not refunded. Similar issue happened with refund for another order from Saravanaa Bhavan Werribee, Melbourne where I was charged and never got full refund for undelivered Kulfi on 12 April 2026.

will never order from Uber Eats again I bought fish from Fortino‘s which on the package says $30.39 an Uber charged me $63 when I tried to talk to customer support about it. They told me that everything was right and they weren’t gonna refund me anything I understand there’s an up charge for using Uber Eats but over double to buy fish. I will never use Uber Eats again not for rides not for food.

DO NOT USE!! Ordered a meal from Wokit Up and it got delivered to a completely wrong address. There is no contact number and if you go to the help section on the application it tells you to contact the driver which I did and all he said was to contact Uber! Show details

Hi, I ordered 3 chicken sandwiches earlier and was called at the last minute saying the order couldn’t be completed. I then contacted uber and they told me that because I gave the driver the pin that I can’t get my money back. Ubereats groceries is a scam. Shops accept orders without stock. There is no option to cancel order of the stock can't be filled. I had only one $5 item delivered and dumped in my garden. Fees were more than double the cost of the item. Never ordering from them again.. Show details

Save yourself the cr#p and just go and get your food yourself instead of using these morons. Your food sits there waiting for someone to pick it up, then they go to other stops, by the time the food gets to you it’s cr#p and cold. I so hate Uber eats with a passion.

 Follow-up  · Have stopped using uber. Fed up with cold food, overpriced delivery fees and drivers that do other deliveries while you wait over 30 minutes for your food. Won’t be using uber eats anymore.

You have a driver called Yuan-Hung who is absolutely outstanding. I have had him deliver stuff to me in Berwick time and time again and he is like a rocket. Grocery shopping that will take others half an hour is done in 5 minutes. Doesn't matter the task, he does it faster than I could do myself. registration, depreciation, and operating costs, result in earnings that are simply not sustainable.

What is the purpose of maintaining Diamond status if there are no meaningful benefits, no worthwhile promotions, and no recognition for loyalty and performance?

One of my biggest concerns is the lack of transparency regarding jobs. On multiple occasions, I have accepted shop-and-deliver orders that appeared reasonable on the app, only to arrive and discover significantly larger orders than what was initially presented. There have been cases where the information shown suggested a few bags, but the actual workload involved numerous bags, heavy items, and additional lifting requirements that were not properly reflected in the original offer.

Drivers are making decisions based on the information provided by Uber. If that information is incomplete or misleading, then drivers cannot accurately assess whether a job is worth accepting.

I have also become increasingly concerned about whether the earnings being offered are fair and reasonable when compared to the actual time, distance, effort, and expenses involved. Many drivers are spending long hours on the road only to discover that their real hourly earnings fall to levels that are difficult to justify.

I am now documenting these issues and keeping records of offers, completed trips, actual workloads, and earnings. Depending on the outcome of this complaint and any future review of these practices, I will consider discussing my concerns with relevant authorities, consumer bodies, worker advocacy groups, and legal professionals to better understand my rights and options.

I have dedicated significant time and effort to this platform. In return, I expect transparency, fairness, and respect.

At this moment, I genuinely feel that drivers are being asked to do more work for less money while receiving less support than ever before.

I expect a substantive response from management rather than a generic support reply.

inflated food prices, then provide a pathetic excuse for customer service. Customers are treated like cash machines while the quality of service gets worse and worse.

If you’re charging premium prices, provide the service people are paying for. Simple. Instead, Uber Eats has become overpriced, unreliable, and completely disconnected from its customers.

Ordered some Thai food (-$100). Driver showed up saying sorry, he delivered the order to someone else. UberEats has decided this does not qualify for a refund! & to add to this it is impossible to speak to a customer service person. This is a dishonest business practice to take money & not provide the service paid for. I will never use Uber again and will tell everyone about this immoral business practice. Show details

I hate giving bad reviews but this was spectacular. I won't mention other places because that would seem like a conflict of interest. Betty's Burgers Carousel. I won't say too much but 2 missing parts of a burger that were paid for. $5.50 for 14, yes 14 chips. Make your own mind up. Half the greasy onion rings ended up in the bin.
