Uniden go 325 rubbish that's where it went – This piece of crap worked for about a month then the battery wouldn't hold charge and then it wouldn't even turn on even when plugged in with the red light on. It was a present so I couldn't even get a refund. I thought Uniden was a good brand but I will not buy a Uniden product due to this. Show details

Worst piece of crap ever! – Have had nothing but problems with this unit, won't hold charge, keeps saying SD card is full, when it is not and no matter how many times i input the correct time and date it will not keep it and reverts back to factory setting date ugh. Terrible do not buy, piece of garbage! Doesn't record, also every time I have needed to pull footage it is either not there or the file is corrupted.

Useless – Will not hold battery charge, and when plugged into car 12 volt system will not start up as advertised. Have left on charge through usb and works then shuts down. Have had it connected to car for over 2 hours and still will not come on. terribly disappointed in the rpoduct.

Battery wont retain charge – Battery will not retain charge and will not work if battery is flat even when connected to 12 volt until battery gets some charge. This mean when placed in the vehicle it wont work until the battery has sufficient charge even when connected to the car system. So no plug and use.

I love my iGO cam 300 – I haven't had ANY trouble with the cam at all, good sound & didn't loose date or any other problems when we had a accident & is now in another car & working. I would hate to be without it. I got mine through my Flybys points & am very happy with it

This is fantastic – I love using this unit when I go caravanning, it has nice clear video, and is easy to use, it captures all the crazy drivers on the road, I have travelled through NSW and Queensland and it has proven to be invaluable, its an extremely robust unit and has never given me any trouble at all.

Rubbish – Bought 4 of them, one broke under warranty and was replaced, other 2 failed few months after warranty expired, last one is sometimes runs sometimes not, does not store protected files after accident. Don''t buy this crap!

Appalling. Don't bother – This dash cam is comprised of the cheapest, nastiest possible bits of hardware, you're better off duct taping a 1980's handycam to your mirror. Audio is barely audible and sounds garbled, video is smudged and is definitely not 1080p. Using two different cards (32gb class 10 sandisk and 16gb class 10 sandisk respectively) achieved the same… Read more

blotchy, stuttery and muddy result.

Why Uniden put their name on this thing beats me.

Go on eBay and spend $65 on a G1WH. It's like a bluray feature film compared to the crappy 2004 mobile phone footage that this dash cam spits out.

Keeps Crashing – All seems very good, when its working. Such a shame having the same problem as everyone else, I was hoping it was just me, and I could get it replaced. It is constantly restarting and stopping from recording, this is false advertising as a black-box as completely unreliable and would miss key moment encase of an incident. Otherwise video is clear and would be great value for money. Again regretting buying a cheap and nasty brand.

I agree, rubish uniden igo 320 – I too am on my second unit. First unit had button free operation, but the replacement had buttons, not sure what this about. Replacement unit wont take a charge, seems to fail when it gets slightly warm. Stops recording. Really, is it too much to expect these things to work when left in the car? Thats kind of their job isnt it? No excuse, just poor engineering. How much do i have to pay to get a reliable unit?

Rubbish -Don't Buy !!! – Unreliable piece of crap. Turns itself off, stops recording, no battery life. I witnessed a rear end collision and it had stopped recording. Not worth the frustration !!!!

Battery life zero – I'm onto my 2nd Uniden. Both had battery issues. The unit simply goes off after the ignition goes off. The inbuilt battery doesn't store a charge. Crap.

Good but two months after first use car charger broke – Good for the price as the video quality was very clear. Night vision never seemed to work was always too dark to view the footage regardless of playing around with settings. Took a little while to work out how to adjust settings as the touch buttons didn't always work. Unfortunately after two months of use the car charger broke, returned to store for refund. Would have tried another one but stock was in clearance and was unable to get another.

perfect – As stated, set the ....then format command to sd card and select ok. The SD is formatted and now recording can now resume.! There no reason to save the video.  Show reply

Its good when it works – Randomly stops recording and shows only a black/blank LCD screen. Constantly having to look to see if its working. There is no troubleshooting for this problem.

IGO CAM 320 – I am happy so far, but must have pressed the 'lock' button when the card was full. Can I unlock it somehow so it will continue to record over the old recording?....and how is this done?  Show reply

Random workings – I have 4 units, two are working fine. But the other two not good at all. It will switch off after random time and no save files (the files are blank). As far as I can under stand the only way to get night vision working is to press the power button each time you need it. If just for day time driving and you get a good one, nice. But after that don't buy.

Very Good Value for Money – Buttons are confusing, but once its worked out easy very good picture,10minute videos plays on my pc very good great size hides behind my mirror,my 1st 1 lasted 10 months, within the 1st 2 weeks the picture did not display on the screen, but when i got the replacement cam,i now have a picture all the time,im happy with it and would recommend them, even tho there is a lot of bad reviews here, its just bad luck i think

so far so good – Quite a mix of reviews on here for this cam. I thought I'd give it a shot and purchased the Uniden igo 320 cam version not sure the diff btw 300 and 320 versions...anyway, I've put in a 32gb class 10 micro sd card and initially had some recording issues, it started recording for about 7 secs then started again etc. So I turned off the motion… Read more ·  1

detection setting and seems to be recording ok after that. As others have mentioned it works best with the 720x resolution setting. It's a compact unit and pleasantly has a larger area of view for recording than another cheaper product I tried to get to work. compact, lens captures a wide area. competitively priced would be good to have an option for silencing the power-on chime,

Uniden iGO Cam 300 – I received this as a bonus with the purchase of a UHF radio. Whilst the UHF is decent quality, the camera will no longer switch on. I'm not sure if its the 12v car charger, but there's no way to check this, as it's the only way to charge the unit. Compact size Difficult to operate and broke in around 12 months after purchase

IGO 300 – Shocking picture quality, turns off at random- I spend more time looking if camera is working than looking at the road. I received my camera as a bonus gift when I purchased a UHF radio. Definitely glad I didn't pay for it. Our other car uses a black view camera, excellent unit. Small size Not reliable, turns off at random, blurry image

Useless! – Charger failed after approx 1 week - Uniden want $50 plus postage for a made in China piece of junk, not simpathetic to the issue at all! Camera randomly doesnt record or switches off during 3 minute recording loop. Again Uniden not interested... Avoid this camera, it is not worth the money - a position I stand by even if it were $9.95! Compact Everything else..

Don't waste your money – Have tried everything to get unit to work without success. Manual does not match actual. Unit will not loop. Sporadic file corruption. Battery does not hold charge. Footage does not loop, best I can get is about 3 minutes in one sequence. Help from customer service mixed, Latest response from service strongly implies a charge almost same as original purchase price. only good pont is physical size. Virtually everything.

Poor quality camera – The owners manual reads that the camera can record without loop. THIS IS INCORRECT. It can record a maximum of 10 min (set to LOOP OFF) then it starts a new recording. For example a 60 min drive will have 6 x10 min recordings. Very misleading. Very annoying if you want to view your drive without having to open the next 10min folder. The view is… Read more

often blurry. Even with a clean lense.

Night vision setting doesn't do anything for night vision.

Camera falls off holder, even when car isnt moving. Holder sticks to window, but camera falls off holder.

Customer service is poor. Waited 24 minutes then left a message. No call back after 1 week. Called again waited 21 minutes. I asked for a refund and she laughed and said "you're kidding".

I am very dissapointed with the overall performance of this expensive camera. Poor quality camera and poor quality customer service. Nothing.

not working properly – I have had constant problems with this unit. It will not install on most pc's/laptops tried. Files are often corrupt or have a bad file discripter. Files can be viewed on the unit, but not on the pc. I have tried several micro sd cards and found the same problems. Worst of all I sent Uniden Australia a email more than 2 weeks ago and am still waiting for a response. Didn't work for me. Very poor after sales service.

Disappointed – After reading a lot of reviews on this unit I thought it was a good choice for an entry level crash cam, I was wrong. The battery refused to hold charge and the unit kept falling off the mount. The instructions say the red LED will flash when charging and it does not. The images in default 720p are out of focus and half of the files were corrupt… Read more

and would not play. I took the unit back for a replacement but the second unit had all the same problems. It might be good as a reversing camera but I will not know as I will do more research for a better unit. Compact size to fit behind rear view mirror. Battery will not charge and unit falls off mount.

It is very important to combine a top of the line SanDisk Extreme Pro card with any camera. Low end cards will not work on a hot environment.

An effective, but not perfect, vehicle camera – I bought a Uniden iGO 300 vehicle camera after a near-miss with a madly-dangerous driver. After looking through many of the models available on the Australian market I chose the Uniden iGO 300 vehicle camera because of its reasonably low price, known brand name (I've had several Uniden home phones), and very small size (only 6.5cm wide): some… Read more ·  2

of the others are too large for something that you will need to stick high on your windscreen; this one fits nicely behind the rear–vision mirror.

Using the default settings the camera records continuously, saving a video file every three minutes. The camera starts automatically when you turn the ignition on, and turns-off automatically shortly after you turn the ignition off, so once it is set up you don't have to interact with it much.

You can see example YouTube videos taken from the camera, that I have uploaded here: chrissbitsandpieces.jimdo.com There are also straight-off-the-camera videos that you can download to check out, and a more complete review of the camera.

When the micro SD card fills, the oldest files are deleted progressively to make room for new files. The price point on micro SDHC cards seems to be 16GB; I bought a SanDisk Ultra class 10 16GB card (which came with a handy standard SD card adaptor) for $21, which gives me about 1 hour and 55 minutes of recording time. This is how long you can continue to record after capture before a given video file is deleted, and, therefore, how long you can wait before you must get a video file out of the camera or you will lose it.

Technical specifications for the camera seem to be a manufacturer's secret; I looked everywhere but couldn't find them and the manufacturer doesn't answer emails to its support service. You have to buy a camera to find out!

Here's the top-secret information: (Wikileaks eat your heart out) the available resolutions are:

1080 HD (1920 x 1080, 24 fps)

1080p (1440 x 1080)

720p (1280 x 720, 30 fps)

WGA (848 x 480)

VGA (640 x 480)

QVGA (320 x 240)

Of these, no one in likely to be interested in the lower three. Unfortunately, the camera doesn't handle 1080 HD very well; the video is choppy and unclear. The 1080p is the 1080 HD with the sides of the image trimmed off, so you don't get the wide angle view. This means that the optimum resolution is 720P, which gives a smooth, clear video recording, with wide-angle vision.

Despite the limitations on the video resolution the camera produces an acceptably useful video. Overall, I'm very happy with my Uniden iGO 300 vehicle camera. Small size; good functionality. The 1080HD resolution isnt good enoght to use; 720p is fine though.

Easy to use – I first purchasing a Navig8r crash CAM, which totally frustrated me, (you can read my review on it) so I was cautious about purchasing another cheap camera. Unreliable – I found the buttons a little confusing until I got used to them. If you adjust the zoom it will revert back to the default setting the next time the unit is turned on. about a half a dozen times so I will be returning the unit to Harvey Norman this weekend. This is very disappointing Uniden. Small Confusing buttons. Can't set zoom to desired setting without it reverting to default the next time it is used. Crashed 2 days after purchase and annoyingly keeps crashing and needing to be reset.
