Phone works very well - no issues 8 yrs later (apart from needing to replace battery) – I bought this phone for myself (1 handset) and my parents (2 handsets) after reading good reviews approximately 6 years ago. The phone worked fine - did what it was mean to - enabled me to make & receive calls. I don't recall ever having issues with it. The reception seems fine. The battery died about 6 years into use, which I am told is… Read more ·  1

pretty good. It was easy to purchase a new battery online (via Ebay I think) and phone is going strong again just like it did when first purchased. Works fine 7 years after purchase nothing really

Excellent – You can add additional handsets to this phone so it can grow with your house and family. You can personalise the main screen with a banner with the wording of your choice and there is also a room monitor functions so you can even use it as a makshift baby monitor when friends come around or something. Its great! I love this phone, it is so easy to… Read more

understand all the functions, the ring volume has 3 settings and the loud one is really great - not too soft still. You can use the intercom to talk between the two units.

Excellent product – I've had this phone for 6 years now and i've never had a problem with it. The phone has very good reception to the point where it sounds like you're talking on a corded phone. It has an orange backlit display which is excellent for dialling numbers at night. I've never cleaned the terminals on the phone or base, but i haven't experienced any… Read more ·  1

issues with the charging of the phone. Unlike the other reviews on this website, I have experienced no interference on my phone from the use of broadband. I have a Bob Lite wireless modem right next to my Uniden phone and there is no interference issues on either device. Both the wired and wireless internet operate perfectly and the call clarity on the phone is perfect as well. I would highly recommend this phone, as based on my personal experience the phone has done the job perfectly. Reliable, excellent call quality, long battery life, very good build quality, good range and no interference issues At the time it was expensive, but you get what you pay for. The screen is small, but sufficient for the primary purpose of making calls.

Great phones...extremely reliable and they work perfectly well if you don't have a Wi-Fi setup – I picked up a twin pack of this 2315 series WDECT phone by Uniden on the 21st May 2005. Got them from Prestige Communications. As of the 15th January 2012, I just started having issues with the phones, a perpetually low battery capacity issue which I suspect has something to do with my newly acquired Bob-Lite. I have always kind of had… Read more ·  1

problems with my WiFi I guess, but the real problems started when I got a newer, more powerful wireless set up (ie; the Bob-Lite).

I now want to get a 5.8 GHz phone with 'the works'. Beware of the Internet cheapies, as Uniden have made a LOT of crap in this regard. I paid $150 for this twin pack, money well spent I think.

Really should steer clear of anything priced less than $100 for a single handset (and that is without an answering machine) if you want quality. Very good phones that never missed a beat before I had a WiFi setup. They operate at the wrong frequency! (2.4 GHz)

Great little 'phones........BUT – After several years of outstanding performance we now have a problem which has 'experts' baffled. Since installing Broad Band for our computer we are unable to use our Uniden WDECT 2315's due to intense interference. Is there a remedy other than disconnecting from BB when we need to use our 'phones?! Neat, look like new after years, easy to use and (until now) very reliable.

OK – This is a great product if you are looking for great range and crystal clear clarity, as long as you don't mind updating units on a regular basis due to poor build quality and battery life. Great phone, poor build and production quality. If it was not for these issues we would have been happy to still have this phone. We have purchase this phone… Read more

in double handset version about two years ago, and have not had any problems until lately. The range of the phone from base station, and speech clarity has been excellent for the price. The answering machine function works very well, being able to record your own message or use pre recorded modes. The functionality of features from the handset is terriffic, however you can only carry out some functions such as deleting a message from the base station which is disappointing and a bit of a hassle. Handsets don't seem to have a terribly long life in relation to batteries, even when charged as recommended. The numbers have rubbed off the keys, and the silver color of the body of the handset has rubbed of in numerous places which is not something you would expect from a system within this price range.

Good – OK. No problems after 6 months Note: the caller’s name will only appear on the screen if you have paid your telephone provider for the caller ID (identity) feature. Similarly, special ringing tones you assign to that caller’s number will only work if you have paid for the caller ID feature. You can dial the number, and correct any mistakes,… Read more

before connecting to the telephone network (and then getting charged for the call). Telstra phones list this a "feature" !

Expandable to a max of 4 units. Have been told a Uniden Answering machine can be added separately – you would have to reprogram the original “Base” telephone (ie. “Handset 1”) to another identity (eg. “Handset 3”) so that the answering machine can act as the “Base” unit. Don’t know if this is the truth, you would have to get a written promise of a refund if it didn’t work.

Useful as a cheap intercom system in “older” houses that are not "SmartWired".

“Talk anywhere without the Base” means you can take the handsets anywhere (eg. Shopping Centre, Sports Centre) and they should act as Walkie-Talkies (range will be significantly limited by the thicker walls/floors in these kinds of centres) - haven’t put this to the test yet. Good number of features, expandable to 4 units (1 for each member of the family or for staying in-touch in a large house!), caller ID option, ability to transfer the contact/"phonebook" details (telephone numbers, names, special ring tones) from one phone to another (ie. you don't have to program each phone separately), stylish. Sometimes hear a buzzing tone that lasts for a few seconds during calls (pretty certain it comes from our end).

Some feedback noticeable.

Almost too small !?!

Belt clip looks to be flimsy, could be easily broken (it only clips on).

Excellent – Top brand, top value for money, and I wouldn't hesitate to buy again. Great range. Works a treat when you use it as a room monitor, even going downstairs from my 3rd floor unit (apart from in the elevator) the range is still clear. Alot better in that function compared to specific baby monitors. Very easy to navigate through the menu (compared to… Read more

our old Panasonic).

Excellent feature of bieng able to copy numbers across to the other handset so that both are always up to date.

Like the choice of ringtones too, so a quiter / less startling one canot be chosen for the bedroom! Having to pay the service provider if you want caller id displayed! But that's not the phones fault anyway.

Can't say I have found any real bad points. Except I suppose the belt clip could be a bit better.

Speaker function works well too, but generally I end up with it between my shoulder and ear anyway if my hands a full.
