Viceversa Koala Espresso

Very Satisfied – Picked up this machine at a 2nd hand store three years ago and have made countless espresso's & cappuccino's with it since then. Works just as good now as it did when I first got it. I never use tap water with it, only reverse osmosis water and I clean it every 6 months with straight vinegar to remove any scaling in the pump/heat exchanger that might occur from daily use. For a small counter top machine it's perfect for my coffee needs.

Excellent – I love everything about this machine. It is all in the tamping to get the right yellow crema, and it froths milk like a dream. I have loved this machine for almost four years. My Viceversa koala espresso machine is finally getting "tired", am desperately looking for the same machine but can't find it anywhere. Where can I find it? I can't think of one thing that I do not like about this machine, have owned it for almost four years.

Good – Using one of the better Italian brands of coffee & a grinder to prepare granules, we have found this machine to be PERFECT in every way. (except for the minor problem of pump trouble) Done a wonderful job in every way for 4 years, .... however ....... Vibration pump no longer pushes water through the machine, although it makes all the right "noises". Where do I have it serviced? as we love this (yellow) baby! Show 2 replies

Terrible – SHOCKING Don't bother. Very poor quality components which cannot be replaced. As mentioned ours was replaced 6 times in the space of @2 months. In the end the shop gave up. They'd bought a stack and had 75% return rate on it..... It looked really nice on the bench. Believe it or not ours was replaced 6 times! There is a problem with the pump… Read more

and they're no longer being imported however the wholesale merchant has 100's in the warehouse so I've seen them lots of places for sale.

They cannot be fixed and soon will not be able to be replaced as they were trying to move stock.

Don't waste your money, they're not cheep and yes they're lovely to look at but go for function over design.

Oh and I mistakenly assumed they were australian given the name, they're not.

we eventually cut our losses (they wouldn't refund only replace) and I was sick of driving to the store so we asked if they could just give us a stovetop espresso maker for a 10th of the price, which they did and it works 100 times better.

Will go for a better known brand next time.

OK – I got this as a present so not complaining. its good for making one or 2 cups, bit slow if you want to make more. looks good makes reasonably good coffee decent price not great coffee, but good enough.....

OK – Would like to know what temp the coffe should have when opperating. Short black not hot enough. Is there a thermostat that can be adjusted? Nice design Spluttering. Why?
