Vitasoy Oat Milk

I don’t recommend it – I was having stomach issues when I started drinking Vitasoy oat milk, unaware of what was causing my problem. Four months later when I realised it was the oat milk, I thought I was allergic to oat milk, so my housemate took the Vitasoy oat milk bottles for her and she started to have the same stomach problem. We don’t know what happened with that… Read more
milk because we are not allergic to oats and the bottles weren’t expired. I don’t recommend this brand.

Best oat milk on the market – Thick and creamy and makes a brilliant instant coffee as well as a good barista coffee. Much. Ether than any of the pricier fancy versions out there and not horribly sweet. This has become our go to for morning coffees. Show details
Tastes so good – I tried many other brands but hands down vitasoy oat milk is far superior in terms of tastes. It also blends good with tea and coffee. The best one is try with dandy chai. Show details
Best Oat Milk For Coffee – I have tried many brands of oat milk, and have always come back to Vitasoy Oat Milk because it foams the best. It actually foams much better than many of the "barista style" oat milk. It also works very well when blending frozen fruit smoothies. Show details
Negative reviews
Awful taste – This is the single worst tasting oat milk available. It tastes sour to me. I have tried it multiple times from different barristas and it always tastes the same. Now I ask what oat milk they are using before I order so I don't get caught out. I never write reviews but this was worth it. Review your recipe. Show details
Yuk, they thickened it too much trying to make it like cow milk, and they've created a big fail – Gross. Nowhere near as nice as Pureharvest, and I'm not exactly sure what they've put in their recipe that makes it so yuk (it makes me feel unwell every time, and I can always tell when someone has used this brand) but perhaps too much safflower or something? Whatever it is, it is them trying too hard to thicken it to resemble cow's milk that has… Read more
made it so horrible. They are really winning on their soy milks, but their oat milk is horrible and thickish and sickly. Not sure if it's sorbitol? Or some thickener they don't have to include in their ingredients list due to being below a certain percentage? Anyway, if you want a real-tasting/non fake-tasting oat milk, the best on the market is probably pureharvest.
Worst milk I’ve ever tasted – Thick gelatinous texture. Tasted like stale oats mashed by mouldy feet. I took one sip and nearly vomited. My partner had the same reaction. How could vita-soy get oat milk so wrong? Show details

My choice of oat milks – They make a few different variations, all with no added sugar which I love. The one labelled 'Milky' is my favorite. Blends perfectly with hot liquids like coffee ( no separation). I always check when its on special and stock up. Show details
The one I like most – Discovered this after trying 3 other brands and then I stopped searching for milk alternatives. Hands down the best texture and flavour. I have it with cereal, with digestives, cold and warm. It's such an improvement over that butyric smell of cow milk. Show details
New Recipe is Horrible!! – This brand of oat milk used to be the best, now it is absolutely disgusting! Doesn't taste like oats any more and its bad enough on cereal etc, let alone by itself. When you drink it the amount of oil in It literally makes me nauseous to the point where I feel like I'm going to throw up - please bring back the old recipe! Show details
gave me an itchy rash – Came out in itchy rash. Took weeks to work out cause. By a process of elimination, came back to oat milk. Rash went within 2 days of giving up the product. I don't usually have allergies; so quite surprised. But facts are facts. I did enjoy taste. shame Show details
Love it! The 'new creamier taste' makes it so much yummier than other oat milks – Contrary to some of the other reviews, we actually prefer the 'new creamier taste'! After drinking cows milk for years, I swapped to oat milk while breastfeeding my dairy intolerant daughter. I tried so many different types of dairy free milk alternatives and was so happy when I finally landed on the Vitasoy oat milk! It doesn't leave an aftertaste like some other oat/nut based milks and tastes perfect for coffees. Show details

Disgusting artificial new taste – The 'New Creamier Taste' is horrible. It now contains more water and fat, but less oats, protein and carbs. Plus it has an artificial tasting 'Natural Flavour' added. The previous recipe was perfect and I'd been drinking it for years. I can’t drink this oat milk anymore, and I refuse to pay the high price for the new prebiotic oat milk. No more Vitasoy for me. Show details
What the hell is natural flavour!!! – ⭐️ The original oat milk had tapioca as a thickener and a much lower oil content. Then they upped the oil content and lowered the percentage of oats and now the current one they have decreased the oat from 13% to 10% (min) and have added “NATURAL FLAVOUR” What the hell is natural flavour. There are plenty of things that are natural and have a… Read more
flavour but I wouldn’t eat them. I have called them on their consumer enquire number and they refused to tell me saying it was a secret ingredient. I think we have a right to know what we are drinking. We used to buy it by the box as we would drink a minimum of a carton a day. Now we drink NO VITASOY OAT milk. The number of stars they are rated is only ONE STAR ⭐️ as the old product doesn’t count because that is no longer what you get. Try the prebiotic oat milk if you want a decent oat milk.
Sad about their new "creamier version" – Used to be my go to milk alternative and would buy multiple packs weekly. They have sadly changed the formula completely - increasing the oil content whilst reducing the oat content. It literally feels like the product coats the throat after drinking it and has a taste strangely reminiscent of soy milk. I've switched to Pure Harvest, Oatly and… Read more
Coles Organic depending on which supermarket I happen to be at, but I do miss the old product. The update is so inferior I'm inclined on avoiding Vitasoy products in the future as this so clearly comes across as a cost cutting exercise at the expense of customers.
Messed with a perfect formula – I've been drinking this brand for over 10 years but unfortunately the new version is very unpleasant compared to the old recipe. I was previously happy to pay $3 per 1 litre but not anymore. It's a real shame that they messed with a winner. I'll no longer buy this product. Show details
Oil Milk NOT Oat milk – Do manufacturers think consumers are this stupid .. As if there wasn’t enough profit in it before it’s mostly water and they charge $3 ... Now they they have increased the Oil and cut the Oats by 30% ??? Seriously are Oats that pricey these days ?? what a Joke. It WAS the best One Show details
Not happy with the change in the taste – I agree with others- the new creamier version is unpleasant. I liked this brand of oat milk because it was a subtle taste- perfect in tea but this is now overpowering. I too will no longer be buying this one anymore. Show details
New creamier formula is terrible – The new creamier version is terrible. They've dropped the oat content by 1/3 and changed the added calcium. The creamier taste isn't natural and it overpowers whatever the milk is added to. This used to have the oatiest taste of all the oat milks but is now the worst. Show details
It used to be great. New 'creamier' version is bad – It used to be great. New 'creamier' version tastes worse, has more crap in it and less oats. Very disappointed. Show details
Lost its oaty flavour – China owners have changed a winning formula,it now tastes bland They put less oats in and its crap Have been having for quite a while but will be now buying puteharvest oat milk Two reasons being they put more outs in and quality oil plus its australian owned using Aussie produce Show details

Disappointed – Vitasoy was recently bought out by a Chinese multinational company (the same one that sold poisonous baby formula powder to their own people). The oat milk now has less oats and oat flour, has more cheap sunflower oil, a ‘natural’ flavour has been added, as well as food acid 340. Nothing is creamier about the taste or texture. Previous recipe… Read more
didn't need any flavours or acids added. Hope I can find a replacement because I wont be buying this again. I didn’t notice the change of ingredients until i unpacked it at home and saw the ‘new creamier taste’ on the carton, which i knew straight away was a euphemism for adulterating the ingredients.
Terrible 'new creamier taste' – After many years of enjoying a delicious oat milk, Vitasoy recently changed its oat milk ingredients, which now provides less energy and less protein. The new taste is very bland. I won't be buying this oat milk any longer and have now sourced an alternative brand. Show details
New taste is disgusting – I just had my first taste of the 'new creamier' oat milk. Unfortunately it is disgusting, with a vile and lingering aftertaste. I bought 14 UHTs of it as I have a glass every night without fail, yet I have wasted my money this time. Creamier shouldn't change the taste like it has. Show details
Love Love Love – I'm not allergic to anything or vegan, I just like this more than any other milk. I go through it fast because I love the taste so much. Good on its own or in cooking or with cereal. Cant beat it. Thank you Vitasoy (not sure if you can top the price and taste of your chilled choc soy but id like to find out if you ever bring out choc oatmilk) yum Show details
Perfect for my coffee! – Since finding out I was lactose intolerant I tried a variety of alternative milks in my coffee and on cereal. Soy didn't agree with me and almond and rice milk are horrible in coffee! I tried Pure Harvest Organic Oat milk and I didn't enjoy the taste or texture, yuk. Vitasoy Oat Milk won out by a mile, great flavour and it gave me a lovely creamy froth on my coffee. I have to take my own oat milk with me to coffee shops because no-one uses it.
Much improved – Since my last review I had decided to try this product again since I heard from other people that the formula had changed again. On trying this product again it appears that the company have listened to their customers and they have made improvements and the flavour, texture and creaminess of the old formula has been reinstated to some degree not… Read more
100% to the way it use to be but a big improvement from the last time I tried it. Good job Vitasoy by the way I love your soy milky regular it is lovely and creamy perfect in my cuppa tea.
Great with a bit of honey and Carmans Meuseli – I must admit I changed from Australia's Own Oatmilk only because they dropped that line. Wish Vitasoy would put out one with a dash of honey.
Great Dairy Free Alternative! – When I first switched from dairy milk to non-dairy milk I tried soya and rice milks (not the Vitasoy brand) and both were horrid, particularly the rice milk! Then I tried Vitasoy oat milk and I was impressed!! The almond milk is pretty good too. I would definitely recommend this product!
Vitasoy oat milk original – I really liked the oat milk original recipe, the unsweetened is horrible too powdery for me. Bring back the original recipe which is different as l compared the ingredients. Many of my friends agree about the taste. Why change the product when it seemed to be good - anything good usually disappears from the shelf. Please bring it back who ever altered the flavour what were they thinking?
Love this healthy milk – I have been using Vitasoy Oat milk with added calcium and without for the past 4 years. I add it too my porridge and then microwave it. I recently had a cholesteral, calcium, vitamin D, etc test done and everything is excellent. My doctor told me that, whatever I'm doing, don't change anything.I just started menopause early this year and have had… Read more
no hot flushes or weight gain. I don't know if this is due to the Oat milk I use in the porridge besides a tablespoon of LSA, frozen mix berries and half a banana but it works for me. I read that oatmeal, oat bran, pears, and strawberries actually bind to estrogen receptors in your body, which reduces estrogen activity on a cellular level. Flaxseed and sesame seeds also have an estrogen binding activity in the body as well.
One of the responses is that she finds it too watery. Make sure you shake it good before you use it. It has happened to me before but I found out that once you shake it good, it is not so watery.
If you have bad menopausal symptoms, give this a go and let me know if it works.
