Love the results – I purchased with new straightener from Hairhouse and love it. I love that it is generating steam from a small water tank which is refillable and burning the water and steam first and not the moisture from my hair. It works really well and I love the results that it produces. I would recommend it for medium and long hair as it works best!

Love It – Great for thick hair. Heats up very quick. Straightens my long thick hair very fast. Thickest one I could find on the market although not sure if these are any longer available either? If they are still available, I highly recommend buying one.

Pretty good! – I have had this straightener for awhile and it definitely does a good job! The steam feature is definitely the best part, leaving the hair less damaged and frizz free. However, the ceramic plates are not as higher as GHD straighteners, but still do a great job!

Straight for a day – It heats up quickly and does get my unruly hair straight. However it usually only lasts until i sleep on it. I found filling the water tank to be a bit of a mission and often questioned how safe it was being like that. Works much better on thin hair rather than thick hair.

Does the job – I bought this product for my wife last year. She's happy with it and used on regular basis. Money well spent. Does the same same job as GHD and other expensive products

Okay, but not my favourite – i got this as a gift but now it just sits in the drawer of my vanity table, unused. my hair is pretty frizzy and always high maintenance, but while this heated up pretty fast imo, it still took quite long just to straighten my hair. won't recommend to friends.

Gentle on my hair in comparison to other straigtheners – It is a good quality hair straightener and much cheaper that ghd, it delivers great results and thanks to steam, keeps my hair in great condition, sleek and polished, love this and would recommend it. Steam makes it better and I can see that it is gentle on my hair in comparison to other straighteners.

Use it often – Use it often, great results, heaps of settings, creates mist if wanted, gorgeous color, defiantly recommend, slides accross hair wonderfully, amazing for the price would defiantly get again. I own multiple hair tools from this brand... all fantastic

Quality for cheaper price and trustworthy brand – I've used many VS sassoon products and this is by far my favourite! I live in a humid area yet the goddess keeps my hair frizz free and tame throughout the entire day. The plates heat up quickly and the steam produced as it run it through my hair ensures my hair doesn't fry and dry out. Would definitely recommend to anyone with frizz prone, coarse hair like myself!

Great performer! – This is a great straightener! Uses steam to help protect the hair and not dry out or burn it. Very quick to heat up and easy to use. Very comfortable and gives fantastic results. My hair is smooth, shiny and straight afterwards and it lasts! If you can find this on sale I'd thoroughly recommend giving it a go!

Effective heat distribution – Great for days when I can't be bothered, mostly use it for beach waves. Recommend to people who want a well priced tool that will last a fair while. Their hair curlers are also awesome!

Mine did not last long – Was great when new, however, lost it glossy red color in patches within a couple of months! I was careful not to overheat it. Also, the compartment where the water fills broke much faster than I expected. Cannot use this function anymore. Have used the product for under 6 months! Great straighteners. Much kinder to hair – These are great. Heat up fast. Easy to use. I like the steam function but sometimes it drips and can burn the hands. Occasionally the straighteners snag the hair but overall they're much kinder on my hair than the ghds. My hair has grown better and broken less since using these.

Smooth n Easy – Bought this few years back and happy with the results from this product. Its is quite easy to use and with the steam feature becomes more effective.It takes time to heat up but works well on my locks.Its quite elegant looking and works well for my long hair and makes them Smooth n Straight .Just a bit bulky otherwise a good choice.

The steam function is a nice idea, but impractical in application – I purchased the Goddess as I wished to use the steam function to control rebellious cow licks on my fringe. It heats up relatively quickly - the number which indicates temperature stops flashing once you have hit the mark.

Hair glides through easily.

I own a VS hair dryer so I had good experiences with the brand beforehand. If you are in the market for a sub $100 straightener this is a good choice.

Looks nice – it was good, was a gift for a friend, she loved it. it worked. temperature control was there. Loves the colour, easy to use, doesn't snag the hair, took a while to heat up. don't burn yourself. needs a longer cable. overall would reccomend for anyone looking to buy a gift for a friend

Good – I love it. I bought the tiny version first, it's good but takes a lot of time. With this one I only need 5 minutes in the morning for my hair done. I think it's really good and I love VS products in general.

It is ok – I am quite happy with the results form this product. I just use it in the morning before I go to work. It is easy to use as it only takes 10 minutes to straight the hair. It normally takes 3 minutes to heat up and does not damage the hair. But sometimes, it would snag on hair during operation. It could be due to I am in a hurry to straight my hair. Overall, it is ok.

Just OK – Thought I'd try this straightener after reading good reviews but i don't find it's any better than a cheap straightener used in the past. I find it too chunky and it doesn't leave my hair as smooth as the cheaper straightener. Would not buy again.

Great for straight short hair – Product is easy to use though at times the head piece gets hot making it difficult to hold without burning fingers when on highest setting. Good use on long or short hair and has no wait time for heating.

Contaminated – Was given one for Christmas, opened it and it was full of someone's hair - not impressed at all. Poor quality control not to mention hygiene issues. Would no recommend

I love this straightener! – I've had mine for over 2 years now. It straightens my very thick, curly hair easily, and doesn't take long at all! A couple of downsides, occasionally snags on my hair and the buttons to increase/decrease temperature sometimes don't work properly.

lasts forever and great for thick hair – great straightener that lasts for id say 10 years only problem is it doesnt curl and the buildup that happens on the straihtener is very hard to remove

Amazing!!! – These straighteners are amazing! They leave your hair feeling silky smooth and are so easy to use! I love them since I have very thick hair and the plate is very wide! I Would very highly recommend them to everyone!

Best Straightener!! – Had mine for just over 7 years now! Used daily as it is very conditioning with the steam and has done wonders for my once lifeless hair, only downside is the power cord finally gave way this morning! Which after 7+ years of perfect use and not one flaw is something I can live with, now in the market for the exact straightener, but new of course. :-) Quick heating, Low Maitenance, Lasted 7+ years. hair is like straw at the best of times, so anything with a conditioning feature immediately gets my attention)...and now i am in love with it!!! It lets me curl where I want, and makes my straight areas look far more orderly. The steam function freaks me out at first because it sounds like my hair is frying, but don't worry, it's just the sound of the steam coming out.

If you buy this product, you will not need any other products. Except a hair dryer of course. Love love love! <3 Inexpensive, You never know when you look like a tumbleweed in the middle of the day, so sometimes you need that straightening at work. Absolutely rubbish! – I bought the gold vs sassoon goddess straightener from a 'shaver shop' in east gardens and used it the next day, it was fine up until i went to use it a 2nd time. problem and therefore they were not required to refund my money! What a joke of a policy! Not a major problem? The straightener did not work at all after its second use?!!! Instead i received a store credit to be able to use the money to buy something else in the store within 12 months. This was a complete and utter fail of both the store and vs sassoon manufacturing! I tried all the different settings and with/without steam (without steam was worse) but it didn't make any difference.

I can say that this straightener did seem to make my hair shiny so that was a plus. It was also good for curling under the ends of my hair.

For the record, I have fine shoulder-length wavy hair and I have never had trouble keeping it straight with a straightener before.

Overall verdict, my $40 old Remington is much better. Made my hair shiny My hair didn't stay straight, found it hard to rest it down

conditioning steam and the straightener heated up very quickly. The first time I used it I was amazed that I could style my hair in half amount of time it usually takes me, but the second time I used it, the panel that display the temperature settings started to present problems. The temperature panel has got all the heating options from 170 C to 230 C. When you turn the straightener on, the light turns on 170 C temperature and as you change the temperature up and down, the light on the previous setting turns off and the light on the next heat setting turns on and each temperature has got a different color light. That worked perfectly the first time I used the straightener but on the second time I used it, the straightener performed well half way through my hair, then the lights for three different temperatures were on at the same time and they would keep blinking for different temperature settings without I press the button to change temperatures. It was confusing but I managed to finish styling my hair. I turned it on the next day to see what would happen and as soon as I turned it on, three different light for three different temperature turned on at the same time. So I had to return the product.

This was the second time I bought a hair straightener, my first one was from Aldi and even though it does take ages to heat up, I've had it for three years and it still works. I am considering to purchase a model from Remington this time as the Ghds are way too pricy for me and I do not trust to buy another VS Sassoon model.

Another negative about the VS Sassoon Goddess Hair Straightener is the weight. I do not mind its bulky design but it is quite heavy compared to other models. My wrist was actually quite sore after using it for half an hour to 40 minutes as I have volumous hair. I only style my hair on weekends but I believe that if I was to use it daily, I would end up causing a problem to my wrist. I don't know if it the conditioning steam that cause this model to be heavier than most models I've seen but I'll make sure I check the weight before I choose another model.

As the VS Sassoon Goddess performed so poorly and even tough it offers 3 years warranty it only lasted 10 days, I can not recommend it. It did heat up quickly in the only two occasions I could use it It was pricey even though it comes with a mini straightener as a bonus. It is quite heavy. The product presented problems the second time I used it.
