Terrible – Not impressed. This is not a budget trimmer, I read quite a few reviews before choosing it and I expected a lot better from a brand like this. The trim adjustment is made by moving a lever on the trimmer head attachment (the attachment is not shown in most photos). That lever can get get knocked from your prefered setting when you move the trimmer in and out of a drawer or toiletry bag, or when you take the attachment off to clean it. If you trim to stubble, that won't be a problem, but I keep a goatee trimmed to setting 4, and it bumped down to 1 a couple of times before it became instinctive for me to check. Very frustrating!

I have had the trimmer for a little over two years and it no longer holds a charge for more than a minute of use. In fact I cannot recall it ever lasting more than one-and-a-bit trims. When it's flat, it won't work from the mains until it gets a little charged up.

It also does not trim well under the nose due to the angle of the head attachment and the angle between your nose and upper lip, but I won't hold that against Wahl as I have read this about other electric trimmers and suspect that it is true of all of them. To get that fine detail, you need to take the head attachment off and proceed with caution. Short of removing your nose, there is probably little that can be done about this.

I have read some good reviews for this trimmer, and maybe the charging problem is not widespread, but I suspect that it is as I bought a rechargable Wahl dog groomer at about the same time and it did the same thing (and I have always run them until they were flat before recharging). The adjustment setting problem is definately a design flaw.

I have had enough of this trimmer and am about to replace it with a Remington MB350 - I will report back on that. Plenty of trim settings. Worked well when it worked. Trim setting gets knocked out of adjustment easily

Doesn't hold a charge

Excellent – I really appreciate it when I purchase something and am impressed with the way it has been designed and made I have found this product is the best I have had and am really pleased as its design shape and features all combine to make trimming my beard and mustache to perfection an easy task. It has long battery life and all round I think its a superb tool. The adjustable depth comb is a very neat design and works way better than the conventional units that clip on the end. The compact head and comb combines to really make this a first choice unit Lack of pictorial instruction for replacement of the battery when needed after a few years
