Don't buy from godfreys – Regardless of any vacuum , i have never got any good sales or service from any Weithm or any product from Godfrey's . You would think they would be great as the so called experts of vacuum cleaners but alas they are the worst place I have ever bought vacuums or products . Even bags don't work properly from Godfrey's. Nothing Service products parts
useless vacuum cleaner – useless piece of c... continually overheats and switches off even with the little filter in the back removed. Mine is loud and the suction sucks. If I increase the suction, it overheats even quicker. What a waste of money. I already had to buy a new hose and filter. Never again a Wertheim! low suction, very noisy, overheats and switches off after short time
A SUPERSTAR – Bought the exact same vacuum from godfreys but named Ivac.At first scepticle of the name but then shop owner told me that it is made by werthiem. Previuos vacuum was a wertheim, lasted 9 years used in a cleaning business 3 times a day. Cloth bag was a hassle but found paper bags a bunnings that fit like a dream. Great suction. Strong suction, solid construction, design. cloth bag but found paper bags.
Bad – I wish that I went into Godfrey's with an idea of what brands to buy & what not to buy. I wish I looked around myself first without listening to the salesman. I will not be buying a wertheim again as it seems that even their more expensive ones are not much better according the the reviews here. The salesman at Godfrey's convinced me that this… Read more
was a fantastic light weight vac within my budget. It worked well for about the first 6 months - used on an all carpet house. The suction was fantastic at the start, better than my cheaper kambrook one. Initially I was impressed. The cord is too short, The back where the filter goes keeps blowing off causing the filter to shoot out also. Seems to get very hot quickly. Lately it is overheating & shutting off after vacuuming only 1 bedroom. Cheap parts! The attachments seemed to get stuck. Nowhere to store your extra parts on top of the vacuum cleaner. Suction is now poor even after I have emptied the bag. I would actually rather paper bags or bagless as it is dusty & messy emptying the fabric bags.
Terrible – The worst vacuum cleaner I have ever had, full of design faults and the hose connection falling-off thing is utterly infuriating as it happens at least 5 times a session. I am put off the whole brand by this, though I have heard people say other models are OK It looked small, light, compact. Suction is reasonable Hose connection continually… Read more
falls off in operation, perhaps because the rigid pipe is too heavy for the flexible hose. It is awkward and difficult to change the bag, the bag itself is very small. Only two choices of brush, which you have to do by hand, not a button. Whilst it sucks fairly adequately ( no pun intended) it is heavy to use, depsite its looks as you have to push really hard because of it's inadequate brushes. The red Velcro-like trim , meant to help pick up dust, I guess, on my brushes came off almost instantly. I have had it about a year and am not a heavy user, having rugs and floorboards, not wall-to-wall carpet
Terrible – Buyer beware!! I notice Godfrey's aren't selling this anymore and its no surprise. They say you get what you pay for but my last vacuum cost $69 and lasted 8 years. This is an absolute hunk of junk, use your $200 as a deposit on a Dyson!!! looked compact and lightweight, performed well in the shop. exhaust cover continuously falls off, hose… Read more
unscrews itself every time I use it, cord too short, inadequate seal between inlet and bag opening, causing the filter to block, machine to overheat and shut down, quite heavy despite its appearance, lost suction dramatically after less than 1 year use.
Terrible – Wish I hadn't listened to the salesman and waited an extra few weeks so I could've afforded a better vac. Looks good and is small. Decent suction. Hose falls off. Back section falls off repeatedly. Extensions are badly designed and slip down during cleaning.
OK – its not a bad vac...but for under $200...what do i expect? well i use it for small quick vac jobs.i don't expect a cheaper quality machine to last forever...i do have a wertheim 5035 with a powerhead and this is awesome for dirt removal in carpet! i use this compact one for the car etc...quick 10 min jobs...small and cheaper machines are not… Read more
designed for long term use...you get what you pay for! but my bigger more powerful 5035 wertheim with powerhead is awesome....thank you godfreys...i love your service and your products. light and compact machine, plenty of suction.being a small machine i only use it for small vacuuming jobs...i mean what do you expect for under $200? hose a little cheap quality, rod a little too short.
