I won't be buying another one – Motor just blew up, (just out of warranty) godfreys told me not to expect too much from a *cheap machine!!* They wouldn't even look at it, said nothing can be done and offered $50 as a trade in if i bought another one. Errrm...no thanks!!!

Purchased in at Godfreys Physical Stores for $500.

Best vacuum I have ever owned – Over 10 years old and still going strong. The wiring faulted in the cord but it was a easy fix, Godfreys fixed it for $9.95. The hose has gone just recently near the vacuum end. Head probably needs a replacement, but 10 years and still going strong. I want to buy a new vacuum but cannot seem to part with this one.

Not Great – We bought ours about 5 years ago. It has been repaired twice, been through two hoses in that time.Everytime I take it back to Godfreys they always tell me what a fabulous machine it is. That is not my experience. Certainly for the money it has been OK but I wouldn't say that it is brilliant. Simple to use, nothing fancy. Does the job The wiring is faulty. Maybe we just got the lemon and the rest are OK.

My motor has just blown up on a five year old vacuum. I have had it serviced once in that time just to make sure it was in good condition. Told by staff at Godfreys that I need to either replace motor or get a new vacuum. Not impressed!!! Won't be replacing it witha another Wetheim thats for sure.

Great little vacuum cleaner – We bought this little beauty over 5 years ago and it has served us very well. Designed for smaller houses/units (we bought it when we were living in a 2 bed unit) and it has only just given up on us now, which is pretty good because we've given it quite a beating with 3 kids, and never had it serviced! Probably could get it fixed but we're going to trade for a larger model. Size, suction power, price

little vacuum. BIG performance – We purchased the XL180 4 years ago for our 2 bedroom apartment. Salesman at Godfreys took us through a number of models which we'd done some homework on. We were not looking for anything fancy, just something that came with the usual attachments, and did the job well. In the end he demonstrated and advised that this model was the best bang for buck for the smaller apartment/house.

He was right. We bought it, and after weekly use in a 1 bed apartment, a 3 bed house, and now a 4 bed house, she is still going strong. We've had it serviced yearly, which assists in longevity of the motor, and the only thing we've replaced is the hose, which is a part that often goes on the Wertheim's.

The suction on this little workhouse is mighty strong, seldom needing to redo the vacuumed areas. Both the power cord and vacuum hose are long enough, and the attachments, 3 in total, are practical and work as they should.

Whilst we do use for the 4 bedder, it definitely needs an eye kept on for overheating. These units are meant for the smaller dwelling, but can and will do the larger, if filters are kept clean and vacuum bags not overfull. Mine overheated not 3 weeks ago, an oversight where bag was nearly to bursting point. After an hour cool down it started up again without a hitch, and running fine ever since.

Some of the bigger Wertheim's get a bit of a bad wrap, but I honestly can't fault this machine. Highly recommended. Strong suction. No gimmicks. Keeps going and going.
