Who wants to fight fires in the middle of the night, can't live with it – Dangerous Dishwasher. Brought our new home with this dishwasher having just been installed. Just over a year old and this thing belches flame and smoke three times in the five seconds that it takes me to get it turned off and unplugged. A very scary machine, no more Westinghouse at any time for any reason! Shiny Massive electrical failure, smoke and flame. No replays to my emails

Unsafe, wouldn't recommend – It's a real shame that this is the second Electrolux product that I have bought (I bought the ultra silencer washing machine, what a dog, and on the recommendation of Choice) which has failed. Last week the appliance tried to burn my house down. I could smell burning, but couldn't locate it until I saw smoke near the dishwasher. removing the control panel I found it all melted and the wiring around it. Electrolux claims that my model is not the one subject to recall, so obviously, the inability to produce visible flames is not enough to warrant concern or a recall. Doubles as a box of matches Potentially burn your house down. Soap dispensor has a tendency to stick, forcing you to wash twice.

Excellent – We've been really happy with this dishwasher. It is very quiet and I was suprised at how clean roasting dishes came out. Previous dishwashers I have had have done a terrible job at cleaning baking dishes, but in this they came out perfect. It looks great, is quiet and works well. It's quiet, looks great, is very easy to use, fits large roasting dishes and pots and pans, and fits large glasses in the upper tray with large plates in the lower tray (not all dishwashers I looked at could do this). None as yet but only had it for 2 months.

Terrible – Don't buy it! I bought this dishwasher back in Feb 08. Discovered the next day that it was subject to a recall for faulty wiring. I rang Electrolux, who sent their technician to check if it had been fixed. He took a look at the door & said the fault had been fixed (prior to sale). I asked him how he could tell, he said there was a pen mark on the side of the door. Five months later the control panel caught on fire. I am now waiting on a money refund from Electrolux & have been without a dishwasher for over a week, what an enormous pain in the butt. Check out the Govt Recall website for the Electrolux recall on some dishwasher models (Electrolux, Dishlex & Westinghouse). I will never buy a dishwasher that is subject to a fire hazard recall. Also, never leave your appliances running when out of the house or when asleep. We were very lucky that we were home when the dishwasher ignited ... Washed & dried well. Control panel caught on fire! (This model subject to a recall for faulty wiring in the control panel.) Quite noisy, which I found irritating. Tips forward when both trays out are out & if not bracketed into bench.
