All white goods have their good and bad, I'm a very happy customer – Was undecided weather to purchase this model in the Westinghouse because of reviews I had read up on but I can happily say that it hasn't missed a beat.would recommend to anyone considering purchasing. Only noticed a minor increase on electricity bill. Water rating is average on washer but water bill has not gone up and we use dishwasher at least once a day  Show details

Don't Recomend Westinghouse/Electrolux – Have had similar problem as [name removed]. First the power button burnt out & had to be repaired. Now even though the dishwasher is empty I'm getting error i30 (overfill, machine has detected water leak). This is not the first time I've had trouble over the years. Unfortunately the control boards seem to be made to a cost. The bigger question is are all makers the same?

OK – I wouldn't buy this one again. We've had an LG dishwasher in the past that cleaned better than this. It's nice having matching appliances in the kitchen with the same name but I now know I'd prefer the dishwasher to do it's job properly. I always rinse the dishes (either under a tap or in the dishwasher) if I am not turning the dishwasher on… Read more

immediately to wash, yet I still find a few have not washed properly. It's a nice looking unit, costing around $1000 like many others to choose from. The stainless steel finish matches the rest of my kitchen appliances. I often find dishes are still dirty. I have one particular place in the top rack on the back left corner where the glass in that corner is never cleaned properly. It always has some residue left on the inside and outside of the glass. There is no quick wash cycle. The shortest cycle is over an hour. I can't crowd too many dishes, particularly bowls into the baskets because they simply don't wash properly. They need to be spaced out more. For some reason, the soap dispenser doesn't dispense all the soap at times, for no apparent reason. Chunks of soap stick together and remain in the soap container. We've found the soap dispenser needs to be completely dry before filling with soap powder or tablet or it won't empty properly, but at times this hasn't been the cause of our soap issues.

not impressed – seemed to breakdown too much, fan didn't work properly all the time or dishers didn't wash clearly and space not good between stacking plates. front rusted and the door didn't close properly so leaked when washing. Didn't think the eco wash was very good - too long and dirty dishes!! can't wait to replace and will probably go with a bosch this… Read more

time. very disappointed as when we bought this we thought we were buying a decent product and it was not the cheapest dishwasher, I think we paid about $650-$800 too long ago... looked nice inadequate product, broke down too much,

Who wants spare parts? – I've had this dishwasher for 4 yrs now since I had a new kitchen. I brought all Westinghouse goods throughout. I was looking to buy originally a Fisher and Paykel dishwasher, but stayed with Westinghouse only on appearance having all the same stainless steel. It has never washed the best. Have to be careful where to place the items for a good… Read more

rinse. So many times you see glasses dirty still after. We have always run the cycle that Westinghouse recommends to be the best wash, and used the rinse aid.

Recently had problems with the heating cycle. We called Westinghouse for there service tech in our area. His first diagnostic was a problem with the control panel. We had that replaced and with no difference. His second attempt was a problem with the pressure switch. Had that replaced, and still no difference. Third time was a part on the back of the motor. I had tried to call the service technician for more of a description. I left a message with no reply. All I was told from my partner is that it needs this part and the cost.

I made a decision to buy another dishwasher. I didn't want to pay more money on dishwasher that is not going to wash well still. I have gone with a Bosch dishwasher this time from the reviews on this site. I am very disappointed that people are not trained to diagnose these machines, it was clear to me that this service tech was throwing darts at a dart board. He had no idea, didn’t even know where to put the rinse aid. But was the recommended repairer from Westinghouse.

The service technicians had no idea how to fix it. And the rinsing wasn't the best leaving items still dirty.

Made in Australia but problems after 2 years – Nice machine when it works properly 1. Water leak from front door seal (after 2 years) - replace door seal 2. Bottom spray arm (made of plastic) splits open spraying water past the door seal - replace or remedy by tying the split with galvenised wire (use pliers) 3. Heating and drying failure - leaves contents dirty and wet, detergent… Read more

4. Check electronic control unit PCB for burnt out copper and replace with bridging wire (solder). Check heater relay terminals for dry joints and resolder if it looks suspicious. Made in Australia tag and historic reputation of Brand inferior parts, poor after sales advise from Help Desk,

Terrible – I bought one of these products and regreted it. The quality in the finish is poor. The digital display is not positioned properly and the electronics are visible through the glass. Child lock is for the electronic function only and not for the handle. Door can be easily pulled open without pressing the handle. Not good if you have young children.… Read more

Stick to a better brand name like maytag. This product is not good value for money. You would expect more for the price of this dishwasher. A good point is the three water spinning outlets. Top, bottom and centre. This ensures a decent wash. This machine cleans well but thats all. Dont expect anything else. Ive now had this machine for over four years now and it has already broken the heater element. My extended waranty was not honoured because the shop I bought the dishwasher from closed down. Westinghouse said that they have no paperwork for me. Im not a happy man. Cleans well Noisy & heater element has gone just after waranty expired.

Would not purchase again – The worse problem is when you pull out the bottom tray. The whole unit tips forward because it was not able to be solidly installed in a new home. The door began to rust within the first year and has been replaced and is starting to rust again. The dealer mentioned this was because of the poor quality of stainless steel being used and that it was… Read more

imported from overseas.

The Eco-wash cycle takes and incredible 86 minutes to run. Not great in terms or being environmentally friendly.

I thought this was a large capacity dishwasher yet I find that when placing plates side-by-side they touch. The top race does not hold very many glasses and only a few wine glasses. I would look for another brand in the future Reliable Rust within the first year. Does not dry the dishes thoroughly. Takes 86-minutes to run the Eco-wash cycle.
