Worked well for at least 10 years – Was not used a lot over 10 year period but has now just started having issues. It may be that it is an easy fix but due to age of machine we will likely just buy a new one. We did find that it washed the dishes well but did not dry them well. The design and internal baskets, including vertical cuttlery drawer was excellent. Will be happy if our… Read more

next dishwasher lasts as well. This one was made in Germany so likely will look for a German made DW again.

Our Whirlpool died – This washer is now 10 years old and has died. We spent $175 on repairs about 2 years ago. This was a great dishwasher. Yes the cutlery basket took a bit of effort to load, but it washed and dried everything great. I'd buy another but it is now discontinued. It did its job. Over 2 hours for a full cycle

Terrible – What a shocker. Needed repair within 2 months under warranty, now the water pump sounds like a mechanical grinder and it's out of warranty. It has definite blind spots where anything placed there does not wash. Dishes do not dry even if the machine is opened immediately after cycle finishes. Often tiny scraps of food are left on dishes. The… Read more

filter system looks good but fails to trap the bits. We've had 4 dishwasher over the past 30 years - I would have rated the others at 9/10 but this one would not rate a 3/10. Overall very disappointing. We won't buy Whirlpool again.

Breaks down. Poor washing.

Terrible – We bought this dishwasher less than four years ago and it did not last. The computer went out and would be a $400.00 repair. We decided not to pay this for a repair and instead went shopping again. This time we bought a Miele. It costs a lot more, but who wants to buy a dishwasher every four or five years. While the Whirlpool worked, it… Read more

worked reasonably well; cleaning was adequate and the noise was tolerable. This was a very disappointing purchase and we will likely never buy a Whirlpool appliance again. Attractive, cleans dishes well. Doesn't last, expensive to repair.

Terrible – It does not wash like our 16 year old simpson, it was a graet machine. Ours is 3 years old and the solinoid on the inlet hose died, (hose burst saftey device) Its Simplicity Internal plastics are very poor and very expensive to replace

Bad – I would expect a dishwasher to last a little longer than 4 years.....The dishwasher was problem free between the initial problem and then it started to play up. We were unable to reset it and now find it is uneconomical to repair. Disappointing. Easy to use, looks good Had problems with it when we first got it and it has only lasted 4 years. NOT HAPPY!

Bad – if whirlpool updated their manual to indicate what the faults were, and parts were easier to get, i would say probably a good machine.. (although shouldnt break down in the first place).. so if your lucky to never have an issue withit.. would be an excelent machine.. if however it does beak down.. even if its something as simple as a clogged water… Read more

inlet filter (5 mins to clean), then its a $$ call to the technician to fix... When it works, it works well.. cleans great, nice and quiet, looks good, good tray features and layout... our one has had many issues.. some issues were simple.. for example the water inlet filter was clogged, however the unit or manual does not give any indication as to what the faults are.. the unit just stops, and flashes a led.. you have to call out a technician to fix.. our last issue (3.5 years old machine) was the motor leaks water.. so works for 30 seconds, that the water leak sensor gets triggered.. machine stops and starts flashing.. new motor is not in the country, so was initilly told have to wait to next year.. ie ~5 months.. now am told another 1.5 months.. pity about the whirlpool service, and no fault descriptions.
