Have had three of these machines – I own a 10 room Motel. Have flogged them to death broke one (overloaded it Hmm my fault) Still have two working for the last 5 or 6 years, kept the broken one for parts have not needed yet. Great Machine I want another one!! They have a big door for Bedspreads & Blankets. A lot of other 10kg machines do not such a big door. They do not destroy my towels or sheets.

Whirlpool WFE1210CS - Rubbish – I purchased a Whirlpool WFE1210CS on 25/07/2013. I also purchased an extended warranty but hoped I’d never have to use it. So the situation is since purchase this machine has broken down 4 times and I am now completely fed up and over it. First break down April 2013 the belt shredded and Whirlpool sent out Woolley Appliance repairs. They… Read more

replaced the belt and we were back in action

Second break down Dec 2013 same problem, again Whirlpool sent out Woolley and they replaced the belt for a second time.

Third break down Sept 2014 AGAIN the belt went. I rang Whirlpool and I can only say how rude, disrespectful and unhelpful they were. Considering the machine was only a few weeks out of manufacturer warranty I was treated like crap. They refused to fix it unless I paid half the cost of replacing the motor, the belt and the pulley. It was explained that if all these were replaced the machine would be brand new and I’d never have another issue. At this point I rang the Good Guys extended warranty and organised to have the machine fixed.

A few days later Woolley came out, replaced all the bits that Whirlpool said it needed. This was all done under the extended warranty. (thank you)

I can tell you right now this has not helped because machine has packed it in again last Wednesday. It throws an F07 error code and shuts down.

I rang Good guys extended warranty again Thursday morning and once again Woolley came out to me on MONDAY. But they couldn't fix it...he replaced the motor control board, user control board and door control spent 2 hours here and still it won't go. Today (wednesday) it was picked up and taken physically to the Woolley work shop leaving me with no machine.

I asked about replacing the machine but was told no they’ll just fix it. It won’t be replaced unless it breaks down 3 times under the extended warranty. This will mean a total of 5 break downs before replacing it is even considered. It’s ridiculous. It’s already broken down 3 times during the manufacturer warranty period and to add to that apparently the first service call under the extended warranty has been misplaced and not listed so I'm being told this is the first break down under the extended warranty.

I am absolutely fed up with this machine and I don’t know what else I can do other than hit VCAT and Consumer Affairs to get it refunded or replaced.. It’s a lemon. I’ve paid $1270 for a washing machine that has broken down 4 times in 2 and a half years and I’m fed up and angry. You have a no lemon clause in your warranty so exactly what is a lemon?

I contacted the Hoppers Crossing store direct and spoke to [name removed] & [name removed] who both said it needs to go thru warranty to try and fix it. In the warranty it says if it can't be fixed economically it will be replaced. Is having someone replace 3 major parts and taking it away really trying to fix it "economically"?

Well and truly over it. All I want is a working machine. At this point I will be buying a new machine elsewhere because Good Guys clearly don't understand what a lemon is! I have been without a working machine for a week this time. I don't want it back. I just want a replacement!

AVOID - Unless you buy a really good extended warranty – Purchased this washing machine in December 2012, after a 7.5kg Whirpool front loader started failing us. We were told adamantly that this one was built in Germany and the quality is soooo much better that I will probably never have to buy another washing machine again. Even the Whirpool Rep in the store said this was a fantastic machine. So I… Read more

took the leap of faith, although this store did not offer extended warranties, the price was right. Yeah, right!

2 months out of warranty, machine wont heat the water any more... and some ominous sounds from within.

Called Whirpool who organised a local repair person to come out. Apparently it would be cheaper to scrap the machine than to repair it. Some sort of 'spider' arms inside that hold the barrel were bending and the heater was failed.... WHAT???? FURIOUS.

Now waiting for the dish washer to go to heaven so that the now last remaining Whirpool appliance we own is banished to the scrap heap.

This appliance should be replaced if this is the case as stated above - it is obvious that it is not to a standard that would be reasonably expected for a machine of this size and price. LEMON.

Worst machine Ive ever had – Terrible Terrible Terrible this machine is rubbish the whites in the machine have always gone gray, and i had it break down 5 times within 2 years as soon as the technician left the problem came back the very next wash, the after sales service is the worst I have ever dealt with the overseas call centre do not want to resolve issues, takes them… Read more

for ever to come and fix the problem's, they kept making up lies when the whole time it was a faulty control panel and add to that water leaks.

I finally got my machine replaced after I read the Australian consumer guidelines to them and fighting with them on an almost daily basis for months, being hung up on by call centre staff for just asking their name...

I have my new machine still sitting in the box and putting on ebay cheap I purchased a samsung I don't want anything to do with whirlpool

Spare parts difficult to come by – Great washing machine, have had it for around 10 years and only just had an issue with having to replace the water inlet valve. Problem is trying to get one as apparently parts are not easily available here in Australia. If it wasn't for an awesome spare parts dealer who goes to lengths to get their parts then my washing machine would be useless… Read more

Fantastic Machine – Love this machine. Have had one for nearly 4 years and can't fault it at all. Uses very little water and cleans clothes brilliantly. It is fantastic for washing very large items like king size underplays and doonas without an issue at all. No damage to clothing and machine still looks and works exactly as it did on day one.

Best Front Loader On The Market – Had this machine now for more than 12 months, best investment in a washer ever, we went from a top loader and still wanted a large machine 10kg load. This machine is very quiet and quite quick time wise. One of the biggest features is the door can be opened after a load has started to add more items if you have missed a couple. Not many front load… Read more

machines have this function. The clothes come out untangled and quite dry as it has a 1200rpm spin cycle. It uses much less water than a top loader and has plenty of programs for specialist washes including a wool cycle although we usually leave it on the one cycle to do all. Not a cheap machine but one well worth the extra. Quick wash cycle, quiet, large capacity. European manufacture A little expensive but you get what you pay for!

Perfect in every way – This is the best washing machine I have ever owned. I cannot fault it in any area as all my washes are perfect. Even the whites which I believe some people have issue with. Family of 7 - Best washer ever – This machine gets used at a min 4 to 5 times a day sometimes we use it all day long as I have 3 young children at the bed wetting stage & my wife constantly overloads it & it gets used and abused, coming up to 3 years now without missing a beat & we did go from a top loader to this & I will never go back to a top loader in saying that our Fisher & Paykel did get 10 years out of it & it was still working when we changed machines.

Love this machine! – We've had this machine for just over a year, and it washes really well. Happy with the size especially. Whites do come out a bit grey, but have managed to overcome this by adding a bit of nappysan into the wash. Have changed to laundry liquid too, OMO seems to be the best. Really happy with this machine. The red adds a splash of happiness into our white laundry.

Need to add water physically with a bucket to get a clean wash. Small articles with jam the pump and cost you big.

Whirlpool - MUST STAY AWAY!!!!!! – I have had this machine for under 1 year and have got problems with the water intake not coming in. It has taken Whirlpool 1 month to get someone out to look at it and when they claimed it was fixed it broke down the very next wash I put on. Customer service is non existent!!!!! I'm still fighting to get it repaired as now they claim that it is my problem with being on tank water and not mains pressure!!! Keep away from Whirlpool!!!!!

Do not buy this machine! – We have had this machine for under 2 years, it broke after 6 months, and was taken by Radio rentals... it took 3 months to return and fix this machine. Now under a year later it sounds like a freight train when it spins, door rubber keeps coming off, and the machine holds water in the fabric softener dispenser.. for that price.. its the biggest rip off and sucks! Do not buy this machine!! Washes ok sometimes.

8 kilos of clothes in it, i've tried so many different detergents and all seem to be the same, it doesn't clean and if I spray preen on the stain the clothes in the machine would come out smelling like preen even though I use softener as well. You can't soak in it to brighten the white clothes instead of that they come out grey, the coloured clothes come out with fluff like lint, i put towels seperate and they don't clean well . I've thrown all my white towels because they become grey. it's just a waste of money and I've had technicians from wooleys to come out and test it and guess what?

They don't even know anything about that machine how it works, those type of front loaders shouldn't be accepted in Australia or proved its the worst washing machine that could ever be made, if you don't care about clean clothes you will love it, but if your the type of a person who is clean and love a good result then you should skip that kind of machine. I totally agree with Susan especially when she mentioned "you can't have a shower with a cup of water". Don't think about buying this model and it's not because it's made from Germany!!! Outstanding – It takes absolutely everything we throw at it, produces excellent results and is both energy (3.5) and water (4) efficient. It's reasonably quiet in operation although the highest (1200 rpm) spin cycle can be a little obtrusive.

The machine gets worked hard and has proven reliable and with almost twice the capacity of the previous Whirlpool it makes light work of even the toughest loads.

You will, however, need plenty of space for it as this is not a small machine with measurements of Height: 965 mm, Width: 685 mm and Depth: 785 mm Efficiency, capacity and reliability.

Whirlpool WFS1073DD – Brought this machine less than 2 years ago. It has now broken down 3rd time in 12 months. It takes the technician 3 to 4 weeks to turn up. Best Machine I have ever had – The large door allows easy loading and unloading of clothes, and the height of the machine reduces the need to crawl on the floor. be without a machine for almost 3 weeks, I requested a refund. Whirlpools policy is that the machine needs to be repaired 3 times before a refund may be CONSIDERED! When their authorized repairer returned to work on 3/1/12, I organized another service call. He came out the following day, had a look inside, couldn't find anything, tried to access control board but didn't know how. He just assumed it was control board but said 'there are 2 so I will order both because I don't know which one it is and it will take about a week to get them'. By this time, it had been almost 4 weeks without a machine. A week and a half later, still hadn't heard anything. In the end, I had had enough and ended up calling consumer affairs. There is a lot more to this story than just that but the end result was I ended up with a new machine (not a Whirlpool). Whirlpools customer service centre was not helpful at all and when I requested to speak to a manager, they were either on holidays, unavailable or I was told the customer service rep would leave a message for 1 to get back to me which they never did.
