Overall, I did like this card – Overall, I did like owning and the concept of this prepaid Mastercard but the downside was the deposit amount and spending limit amount.

Entire system is rubbish! – I've had this card for 3 years and not once has the pin worked. I can only pay pass, every time I call no one knows what to do or how to fix it. The website literally makes me crazy - it is rubbish! It doesn't work, re directs you to 'a new site' which is some old site that doesn't work. Don't waste your time and energy trying to make this work for you. It's crap

Garbage, never again – Took 4 weeks to get from running back and forth from post office back to Woolworths. Staff at Woolworths store had no idea what to do. Eventually I was told on the phone to get the store to call them directly. The Woolworths petrol pay system was removed from the stations, right after going through a nightmare to try to get the card again. Double… Read more

charged for the card reissue. Eventually once all was sought I cancelled. My main reason for the card was for its use on petrol. Very disorganised. Would never recommend. Owned from 2010 to 2013

Great product, easy to use, quick delivery and helpful customer service staff – I applied for the Pre Paid Mastercard online and the card arrived approximately one week later. I have found the process of loading funds into the account to be very good. I am aware that funds deposited take approximately 2-3 days to show up in the account. A special feature of this product is the ability to have BPay deposits in addition… Read more

to using an account number. This may be particularly helpful for people who have a small business and don't want to give out their bank account details to clients or other people needing to send you funds. You can also use the bsb and account number for direct debits for products such as car insurance etc.

I called the customer service centre with a couple of questions and my call was answered promptly and the person I spoke with was most helpful. The card expires after 3 years which is more than a similar product available from Australia Post which has an expiry of 2 years.

I highly recommend this product. It is very useful to use as a savings account separate from the normal bank account and would be particularly helpful to transfer funds to family members such as dependent children or students.

Do not use! – Re-loaded card over a week ago with $400 and it never showed up in my account. In the past it has taken 2 days at most. Checked account and account details are correct. Rang customer service only to be told I would have to fax a copy of the transfer to them and they will review it. Asked how long this would take, answer about 6 weeks!! When I… Read more

More like 2.5 stars – I applied for the card a couple of years ago when they were launched for my 2 young teens. Only 1 card arrived and I gave up battling with customer service - service? Really? Do they even know what the word means?! - to get the 2nd card. For the card that did arrive, I chose the $1 per top up option and it is used and topped up regularly via… Read more

online banking. It is a convenient way for a parent to fund a child without having to go to the ATM to get cash each time. The downside is that you need to plan ahead as the cash transfer takes up to a week to be credited to the card - a big rort, but that's another story.

Works well as long as it works well. Don't like my chances should something go wrong and I have to contact customer non-service.

Buyer Beware – Bought prepaid card for my daughter $200 in July 2014. Any previous gift cards etc had 2 years use by date. Use by was 11/14, so it has now expired with a balance of $151 still left. Contacted the help line and basically they said "too bad" we can't do anything about it.

Unsafe Woolworths prepaid masterd – I was using my prepaid card for some time with no problems, then it was compromised from Neteller in London for approx. $100, I then put a stop on the card, however they tell me that if it was found to be compromised as I have said, that it would take up to 3 months to resolve this matter, I am on a disability pension & cannot afford these sorts… Read more

The worst! And I haven't even got it yet – I applied to get one of these because I was sick and tired of wasting money continuously reloading the single load cards. I had to fill out a form online. not easy to use – I find that the transaction story is in messy order, in bulk not in detailed description. All good 'till something went wrong – I got this Pre-paid card primarily to use overseas for ATM withdrawals and some online purchasing, all seemed to be going well until I discovered some unauthorized transactions. On the day I discovered this (a Thursday) I was on an Indonesian Island off Bali where there was no ATM and limited phone reception. I emailed Woolworths money… Read more

immediately and asked for the card to be suspended. I got back to Bali and tried to call Woolworths Money but the network for ringing to Australia was busy continually. The following day I experienced same thing with the phone. I logged on to my online account to see it still active and with another unauthorized transaction, and no reply email from Woolworths money. I then had someone in Australia call and ask for the card to be suspended, they of course were told that I was the only one who could do that and I would have to call.

Then I got a reply email asking me to call the 1300 number to request the suspension of the card and fill in a disputed transaction form, I sent a couple of emails but was unable to ring out because of the busy network. By Friday afternoon in Bali it was 3 hours later EST and the Woolworths Money "customer service" were closed for the weekend. I got back to Australia on the Sunday night and called first thing Monday morning - I was told that the card had been suspended (therefore it can apparently be done with an email). Now I am in the limbo of the disputed transaction process which I am told can take up to 120 days for resolution. I guess the moral of the story is read the PDS fully and know what you are getting - or not getting in the case of customer service and product. The real failing of this product for me,given my experience, is that there seems to be no alternative to phone contact on a number of issues including importantly getting the card suspended so no more of my money could be stolen.

Given that the customer service is a Monday to Friday limited hours service your money could be potentially cleaned out over the weekend without you being able to put a stop on the card. I also think the "up to 120 days to resolve" a disputed transaction is an excessive period of time and seems quite out of step with other credit card and Pre-paid card providers. All these things are in the PDS and I did read it, but my experience has made me realize that I won't ever use a card overseas without 24/7 customer service and online capabilities to suspend card and communicate with service provider. Maybe woolworths should stick to supermarkets. I will post again when the disputed transaction process is resolved - I am hopeful about getting my stolen money back so I can cancel the re-issued card. Fin. Got it because of low fees on local and international transactions, but negatives outweigh this. Customer Service not 24/7 and phone is only way to resolve many issues. Disputed transaction process 120 days is way too long.

records for this card....so I asked why the hell has it suddenly come back in my account, the reply was it is to check my old transaction records but I pointed out the card was cancelled 9 or 10 months ago and there are no up to date records for this card, so please remove it. Their response was they won't.

It seems who ever manages Woolworths Reloadabe Card is some sort of Company Clown, and when my credit has gone so am I. The card works well The customer su[pport is Terrible as they can't seem to do or change anything its controlled by the Bank, and if it is the Anz then that is the reason....silly Bank.

I Love it! – This card is great for those who are under 18 and aren't allowed to apply for a credit card or not allowed to grab hold of a debit card. Great for shopping online without giving away all your bank details and you can recharge whenever you want by going up to customer service at Woolies or through Bpay! I love it! Easy to use, can control how much you want on your card Pay transaction fee whenever you want to recharge $1

it. This is also the only other card that can be used to pay for fuel at the pump at woolworths/caltex co-branded outlets apart from the Woolworths Everyday Money Credit Card. * Can use the card almost anywhere worldwide

* e-pump compatible, pay for petrol at the pump (woolworths/caltex)

* Use your own money

* low $1.00 monthly fee or pay $1.00 every time you reload, 2 options

* PayPass compatible, tap and go for purchases under $100

* Chip and Pin compatible

* Pre-paid, great for people who are on a tight budget

* Can be renewed every 3 years for a small fee * Recharges are limited to Big W & Woolworths stores, B-pay recharging takes too long and the minimum recharge amount is $50 for B-Pay

* Application process is a little lengthy

* Not as secure as a credit card when it comes to fraudulent transactions, because it's pre-paid and has no credit limited you dont have any protection if something goes wrong

I think its a shame as it would be a great product for Internet shopping... but the fees and Bpay transfers lag kill the product for me. There is a maximum limit available that can be spent, Overseas transactions fees on local PayPal transactions is an absolute product killer and gouge

Great budgeting tool. Suits me perfectly! – I'd been contemplating getting a debit style credit card for close to a year after dealing with some horrendous credit card debt. 'Load&Go' (which has a high cost to initially obtain).

I had no idea this product was available; which shows how bad my research was. It is a cracker of a product that suits my needs perfectly. I use it for fuel purchases & the odd occasion I may need to catch a taxi somewhere; It's marked as "transportation" in my online banking for that reason.

As someone stated before, B-Pay does take a little long, but i'm not phased by that & It gives you numerous options for loading (in store, B-Pay, Direct Deposit via salary.) Depending on your usage you can select from two different fee options, which I think are quite competitive.

Allowing an app like Consume to interface with the balance & transaction records would be totally ace for me, but i'd even settle for a mobile friendly interface.

I love the card, it sits in my wallet, getting loaded with funds every week. I'm more likely to use it at Woolworths branded fuel outlets due to ePump, but you can use it anywhere. I'm not a loyal woolworths customers for shopping, but i've found myself loyal to Woolworths for fuel simply due to ePump. Easy To Use, Inexpensive, Great for Budgeting, Easy to Manage, SMS Alerts Functional yet lack luster website, lack of mobile friendly site.
