Kinect is must have – Xbox Kinect makes my daughter jumping around always . She loves dancing on just dance songs . Also Kinect is very interactive and does the job well when it comes to motion gaming.

Xbox Kinect – The Xbox Kinect is an essential for Kinect based games. It is used for endless hours of fun on multiple games. It is pretty reliable. However, if you are using this as an alternate for an Xbox Mic you would like to know that it does not have a good mic function. It is actually a really squeaky mic and other players can hear all the feedback from your game, your tv and your friends. Good for Games, not good as mic. 5/5

Very few games-ipad better – Kinect only works with xbox one games and is not as were initially told backward compatible with xbox 360 games. Its slow to load the OS and awkward in its clumsy GUI that seems to always be needing logins etc in parental control mode unlike ipads. There are not s lot of good g or pg rated games and those that are are generally cheaper on PC or… Read more

Android /IOS . Many games require good internet connection to work at all which is often notalways possible now that the Libs screwed the NBN . Yes the graphics are amazing .........but on balance , it was a waste of money.

Terrible! Just terrible – Screw Microsoft for making an unfinished, piece of junk like how Origin made SimCity unfinished. This is terrible, I have tried using this so much and it sucks so much. I thought it would be good but it's unable to recognize anot I just can't stand it, it's a reason I moved to Playstation.

I'm a convert – I have always been a PlayStation person, in fact, anything not Microsoft. I have an original PS1, PS2 and a Nintendo Wii. The Wii out does the PS3's motion remotes by a long way, but the Kinect tops it all. I am constantly amazed at how accurate it is. Even in low light, it picks up exactly where my hands are. Its also very quick. I was playing… Read more

a dancing game and my wife came in view of the Kinect and it instantly added her to the game. Waving her hands saying whats going on actually scored some points LOL.

I cant recommend the Kinect enough, its awesome. Hopefully now with the XBox One out, 360 Kinect games might get cheaper because i want more!! Accurate, Inexpensive, Gives a great workout on some games, Far superior to Wii

Great Fun!!! Best console ever – The kinect is a grey experience, even though it game me a few muscle aches. The pain was worth it. I can't stop playing it. It's kept me in shape and it has helped my family by playing next to each other laughing and jumping. Kinect adventures, dance central, kinectimals, your shape, and more are a few of the great games you can enjoy. I love my… Read more

kinect Easy to use, great workout, good for families, inexpensive, small and portable Occasional but very rare calibration errors.

really fun with hours of enjoyment – the xbox kinect has ground braking technology, you need no controller unlike the wii which needs a lot and it could get a bit pricey but with the kinect all you need is a xbox which is another great thing from Microsoft. with the kinect you really are the controller and now it can pick up on sounds so you can talk to the xbox and it will do what… Read more

you say for example if you want to start a game all you say is "xbox play game" and it will start hands free! hours of fun and it never gets old

Good – My husband is the game console lover, so I was skeptical of this gift, however each time I have played it I have really enjoyed it. Ease of use, physical activity (don't feel as guilty playing it is a bonus), great for single or multi-player. This is the first of it's kind I believe (control-free playing) so I think that there will be more next… Read more

generation consoles that will be even better, however for our family use and entertaining interested friends I am happy with it. I have just bought the 'Your Shape; fitness evolved' game so I am looking forward to seeing all the benefits of this system whilst gaining personal benefits. Whilst being fun, this game console actually physically engages you so you aren't just sitting around whilst playing (I'm happier for my young children to play these games rather than others for this reason). Not needing to hold a controller or press buttons means you can engage in the game using your natural motor responses rather than worry about button pressing coordination. This means it's more accessable for the less game-savvy of us.

Also, you don't need to buy extra controllers for multiple players. Using your hand in a virtual mouse-pad space can take some getting used to as can staying within a zone so that the Kinect system can track you.

Wonderful for fun fitness activities – We got the Kinect to get ourselves up and moving instead of being on the couch. Basically,we want to get fitter and healthier but have fun doing it. The Kinect has turned my 25minutes x 2 times a week exercise into a 4 day x 1.5 hours exercise routing and I am having so much fun, I don't even notice how puffed and sore I am. Best kinect games… Read more

for fitness that I am using:

Your Shape Fitness Evolved 2012 (awesome variety and so much fun- has me perspiring and puffing within minutes. Love the runs, latin dance, and Humana routines.

Dance Central 2 is awesome fun fitness if you love dancing.

Kinect Adventures can also provide a workout depending on what adventure you choose.

I think it can be a gym replacement for those who are not already really fit. Reliable, variety of games, fitness tool, fun, Expensive but have found it worth it. Certainly cheaper than a gym membership.

The future of gaming! The Xbox Kinect really gets everyone involved – Received my Xbox Kinect for Christmas and I would have to say it was the star attraction. Everyone got involved as it is so easy to play the interactive games. I also have a Wii, however this will now be collecting dust as the graphics of the Xbox Kinect is not only superior, it is much smoother using your hands to control the game than hand… Read more

controllers. It is amazing how the Kinect quickly detects your body and recognises your profile. The sports games are just fantastic and really give you a workout. Kinectimals is a great family adventure game that really gets everyone wanting to play with the cubs. Can't wait for a new games to come out. I can even play games with my friens and family over the internet. If it is great graphics you are looking for without the need for additional controlers, the Xbox Kinect is the only choice. So smooth and easy to play. Gets the whole family involved. Requires a good size room to play. Would not recommend for small areas.

great console – the kinect is a good idea. it actually scans your body, when you move your hands around this is what controls it, similar to the wii. it only comes with 4gb of memory, this is enough for general games. if you want to play the latest games then you will need to install a hard drive, latest games are $100. you can buy the hard drives online for a… Read more

lot cheaper than in the stores. i did and it works fine. works great. the hand controller lasts a long time using standard batteries. the kinect games are not worth it. they need to make the latest games to take advantage of kinect.

the kine-crap ! – this is so bad ! you pay so much more for the 'kinect' when you look like a loser playing and you always play the proper games with a 'controler' anyway. You look like a retard when you play it

Good – Having just gone through 8 months of rehab, learning to walk again... I would highly recommend the kinect for people rebuilding their fitness and recovering from injuries. It has low to high impact movements, to suit the stage you are at. I got mine for Christmas, lost 3 kgs in the first week of using it, and while taking a 4 week break from… Read more

rehabilitation, in which I expected to lose some of my movement, found that I am more flexible than I was before the break! Brilliant for fitness, weight loss, motivation building up lost muscles. Sometimes misses your movement, ..this is very frustrating when trying to get high scores..but this happens maybe once for every fifteen moves at most.

Excellent – Overall, I think this is a brilliant product. If you're like me and your hands get fatigued while playing with a game controller, you'll really love this system. I also like that it involves physical activity (much better for kids in my opinion). I look forward to more games becoming available! The Kinect system identifies key areas of your body… Read more

(hands, shoulders, knees, feet, etc), and can then track your movements without the need for any devices. The games I have played (dancing, sports, fitness) have all been excellent. You can play friends over the internet which is a real highlight (particularly if you have family that leave a long way away). And finally, the Kinect video conference is brilliant (allowing you to see and talk to friends and family over the Internet). There's nothing I dislike specifically, but you need to have a fair size room to play. You need to be roughly 6 to 8 feet away from the Kinect sensor. In my case, this means that I need to move my lounge when I want to play one of the more active games, but this isn't really a big deal. Also, there are a limited number of games currently available.
