Difficult to contact and extra unnecessary steps. I did get a policy in the end but I am a bit unclear on the actual options and benefits that were presented. Seems to be a lot of noise and could have been simpler for me. I didn't have the time to start again somewhere else. Show details

Information regarding policy changes – I recently was thinking of making a few adjustments to my various policies with AIA (via life insurance direct) due a massive preminum increase. the order of $20-30 per month, so not really worth it. And also, to change to another insurer means going through all the medical work up again, plus wait times plus new exclusions - also not worth it! And for everyone out there with own occupation income protection - beware that if you change policy or go with another comapny, you will lose your own income payout till age 65; they will cut it back and stop it after only 2 years so that even if you've been a brain surgeon - you can still flip burgers according to them and they will no longer pay you the salary you are used to - beware! So yes, Hiba was helpful but the insurance companies have us all by the scruff of the neck and they know we can't cancel our policies or change to someone else. Just glad I got my own occupation till 65 when I did!

I didn't feel pressured at any time and I really appreciated this - nothing worse than being treated as just another sale - certainly not the case with Ivan. The whole experience was very positive and I have taken up a policy. I would also like to congratulate Life Insurance Direct on the way they manage the quotes - being able to change the parameters myself allowed me flexibility to check companies, their price and conditions, without having to rely on a consultant each time until I needed more information. My Consultant has to work hard and that’s a shame! – * contacted only as the Policy was due for payment. * only interest in payment not checking on better policy until I pushed the matter by canceling my payment on Policy Due. * all suggestions on how to save funds came from me the customer. Pathetic – Absolutely pathetic, incompetent and just plain dumb. I always get emails and messages that I haven't paid a premium, when in fact I have. I have contacted this useless mob 5 times to give me an updated balance and no reply. I always pay more. I want a correct balance ASAP. if you're capable of doing this Show details
