Wiring sucks – While the bike had a wide seat, sits lower for short people. Wiring is crap. It is a replica of the AG125... too much wiring crunched into a small area. Causes wire breakages ...lights and electric start....why!!!! Show details

Yamaha AG200 – I have previously owned one but had an issue with the kick starter breaking through the side case and cracking it and leaking the oil out. It also had an issue with the spark or lack there of. It had some clutch problems as well. I wouldn't buy another one of them. It was a piece of junk.

Worst bike ever made – It first starts with the oil leaks at 6000 Ks, then need an overhaul at 10000 Ks or less. Welds on chasis start cracking after 15000 Ks I know because the front wheel snapped on me, lucky I was only doing 50. Forks came off and all. Soon as you take them Over 60 Ks an hour they start breaking. Only good part is that they are quiet straight forward to fix if you need to changes the o rings. Pieces of crap avoid get a Kawasaki !!

AG200 workhorse – Got this bike as a non runner, no spark. it is possible to open up the ignition module by cutting the metal case carefully at the corners away from the cables and pry the rubberised unit out, peel the rubber from the circuit board and inspect for dry joints, I found 3, resoldered and the bike runs great. These are a very practical, simple and useful bikes, built to do a job and they do it very well.

Workhorse – We have tries Honda, Suzuki and Yamaha AG bikes. We keep coming back to Yamaha. Looking around the shed, there is 9 of these of varying ages, all still useable-even the oldest of them! We get around 50,000 to 60,000km from these before the start to use oil, using them daily on 75000 acres in Western NSW. They stand up to everything, from slowly… Read more

moving mobs of sheep and cattle, to really riding the bikes around wild mobs of goats and squeezing them for every last pony.

The only issue we have with them is the stator, which will go around 20,000 to 30,000km, causing many different issues but generally making the bike unridable. It's a relatively cheap part and simple to replace yourself.

The seats are comfortable, fuel tank big enough for long days in the saddle. The power outlet at the front makes installing a UHF radio simple! The guards at the front save the gear and brake levers from bending (most of the time) and keeps your toes a bit safer too.

Suspension seems stiff but put them on hard country and you never lose grip.

There is nothing I can throw at these bikes they can't handle, I can see why they have barely changed for all these years! Fuel range, engine life, reliabilty, simple design, power, the list goes on and on! An extra gear would be nice

AG 200 4 stroke – i have had this bike for a year now , bought it for the mrs , but she found it too heavy , i do like the electric start on steep hills or uneven ground , a little rough in the ride , would be nice with a bigger front rack , also seem heavy in the steering , but all in all a good farm bike electric start & quite a torquey motor no rear pegs for the mrs , would like a tacho
