Yamaha XC125 Vity
Verified1 review
Much better than expected – Background: I needed to do a daily 2km commute to the train station which has some very steep inclines and decided that a scooter would be a appropriate. After doing a couple of days research decided that I would go for a known 'Brand' (Yamaha) and go for the Vity as it was at a good price $2990 drive away. I'm a 90kg male so I started reading some reviews saying that the vity was underpowered in comparison to other comparable scooters. So I started to be a little concerned that I had made the wrong decision. However I picked up the scooter yesterday and the performance exceeded my expectations - as I was able to accelerate up the incline to a top speed of 70-75km/h.
In addition, on standard roads I was able to edge quite close to 100km/h and felt that it had enough power not to feel intimidated by other cars on 80km/h roads (like you would on a mo-ped). Acceleration is also on par with the standard traffic flow at lights - which also exceeded my expectation. I'm very happy with the Yamaha XC125 Vity and think that it is definitely worth a look.
Pros
- Decent performance (I test rode the BeeWee125 and performance difference is negligible)
- Design is not outrageous and will date well
- Price is fantastic for a Yamaha at $2990 drive away
- Multiple storage compartments for fantastic practicality
Cons
- None discovered at this stage Cost, Performance, Look Nothing yet
