Calphalon Flat Bottom Cookware It's not "non-stick" but as close as you will get and still get great caramelising of food and a las – Ok, it's been a few years since my last review and can say that the flat bottom wok is still working perfectly and looks amazing after 11 years of regular usage. It's not… "non-stick" but as close as you will get and still get great caramelising of food and a lasting product. We regularly put it on the 4 ring BBQ gas burner and it works really well. If something stick a bit, chuck the lid on and remove from heat. It will release in no time. |

Logitech G920 A top performing racing wheel and pedal combination – This racing wheel and pedal combo is made for XBox One and Microsoft PC only. I have owned the wheel since Sept 2015. I've read many reviews about this force feedback wheel and… pedal combination and most have unfortunately not given it any more than three stars (if that!). From memory, the lower rating has been based on a few topics which I will discuss below amongst the many positives. Firstly, the build quality is just excellent. I have two friends that have also have this wheel and I have played with each of theirs on console. Each wheel feels the same as the other, three is no slackness in the controls, the leather wheel is a great finish to make the wheel feel natural and comfortable in hand as is the slightly flattened bottom of the race wheel. The latter gives a level of ergonomics that assist in cornering the more that I use the wheel. Earlier reviews commented that game support lacking: We have to remember this is a new wheel (as at 2015) and game designers have been have a tough time transitioning since the change over in console technology. A year on and the system works flawlessly on the top racing games (Dirt Rally, Dirt 3, Project Cars, the latest Forza and Sebastian Loeb Evo) do support that. It didn't take a year to do that either, just not at launch day as previous reviewers had written. The force feedback on PC or Xbox One is awesome. I mostly race Dirty Rally on PC at the moment and this wheel delivers. It is quiet, is in game fully adjustable with the Logitech or in game adjustments and provides a real to life racing experience like no other controller I have used can deliver. I would have liked as many controls onboard (or more) as the Playstation version. Why did we get less? Maybe due to Sony contributing financially to the project, who knows. Still, the controls on the Xbox/PC version don't appear to miss anything that I would pick as essential. The last point I would make it the price. I do feel that the selling commercial price is a bit steep at $AU499. I can tell you that in first week of release I paid $AU150 less that that at a chain retailer just by asking for the best price. That was better than any online price I researched. So if you are after a top of the range wheel then I would recommend the Logitech G920 thus far. I really have no negatives to put forward about this controller. |

Logitech Cordless Desktop MX 5500 Revolution Trialled one and was so impressed I bought a second for my work PC – I was after a more ergonomic keyboard and mouse for home and the office and after doing a lot of research on the web found a few models I liked. I think I initially picked this on… as it has the softer touch keyboard. At home I use the Bluetooth (BT) dongle as my desktop tower successfully and and work I use the native BT to connect to my Lenovo laptop. Works fine with both. Both keyboards have been in my possession for about a year and they have worked flawlessly since then. My work set is used heavily - I type all day! The home one is still just fine too. I like how the keyboard gives a tiny beep when an email comes in or another when you hit the CAPS Lock. The multifunction keys are just excellent too. soft touch keys, long lasting battery for keyboard and mouse (I use rechargables for KB), styling, LCD HUC, handy touch keys etc. |

Subaru XV G4X 2.0i My third soob and I will purchase again ... but only after I have had many years with my XV! – I've been so happy with my two past Subaru (15 years of driving them) that I chose to purchase another. Both previous vehicles (L Series then an Outback) proved to be resilient to… harsh driving conditions, salt and only the most wearing components (brakes, tyres etc) required any servicing, even after 16 years. I've never seen rust on my Subaru models. I've never seen paint peeling off Subaru cars nor seen them blowing smoke and rarely broken down on the side of the road - only the very, very old ones! My 2012 model has been no exception. It's comfortable to drive, economical and looks great in any colour. For me, the 2.0L Boxer consumes 6.6L/100km on constant open road/highway speeds at 110km/h. In commuter traffic consumption varies, but I average about 9. This is significantly lower than my wifes Holden Cruze. All MT and AT models have a automatic engine cut out (can be manually disabled) when stuck at lights etc. In my cay I save about 800ml fuel a week using this feature. That's only about $AU60 a year, but it's not just about the cost, it's about a greater impact on the environment. In my car, the engine starts well as soon as the foot is placed on the clutch pedal. It will also start up again automatically under many other conditions (e.g. engine is not warm, air con is running at full power, battery is low V etc). Cargo and hideaway space is much smaller than I am used to, so drivers that are expecting to head away on extended camping trips should either consider a larger vehicle or purchase roof rack storage options. My base model L and Outback made use of the rear cargo area better to store smaller bits and pieces. All round vision is excellent. Steering, braking, AWD are also excellent. Actually, I can't fault anything about the vehicle at all. Though summer is yet to really hit here, I have had several 35'C days and the air con has performed very well indeed, even with that huge windscreen and my model being black inside and out. Subaru provide a correct size spare wheel which is really nice. Many other manufacturers only supply an "emergency wheel". April 18th 2018 Update: Continues to be an excellent vehicle I've already written a review a few years back now. My 2012 manual mode, is still going strong and functioning perfectly. Just last weekend i did my second best fuel economy, 830km on 59L, that's 7.1km/L. My best was 870km. My 2012 manual has only done 53000km on the odometer through. Fuel economy. Vehicle size was just right for me and my wife, or me and a few hiker heading out into the wilderness. A bit more cargo and hide away space would be really good. |

excellent watch the gadget friendly user ... I'm always amazed the Casio can produce such quality at – Aftrer a catastrophic destruction of my first purchase (all my fault!), this is my second watch of this model. As a fan of outdoor activities, cooking at home and expert time… manager I find this watch indispensable: stop watch, count down timer (great for cooking anything) temp gauge along with easily adjustable world times make this watch a must for me. When I destroy this one, I'll be buying another. all the features and price wish I had chosen metal band option. also wish for more Casio luxury watches to have the same features. |
