exciting for an Aussie brand, I'm an Australian woman so I like that we have such a great Australian owned brand. I have owned other brands over the years (Silver Bullet & GHD MK4), although they are not even in the same league as this new Marcos Sophia model straightener. I find that because of the special finish of the plates, that it glides over my hair very lightly and smoothly, rather than having a pulling feeling on my hair which i have experienced with Silver Bullet and GHD. Makes my hair look shinier than any other straightener ever has. When I styled my hair it lasted for a full 3 days, even when I went out in light rain. Also the 2 year warranty was a big plus for me. It's an investment as it's more pricey than most, although you definitely get what you pay for. I spend more on shoes which I would get less use out of, whereas I know I will use my straightener few times a week for years..
