Huggies Infant Reliable nappies, more expensive but worth it – Have tried a few brands of nappies including Aldi, Nature's Babycare and Snugglers but keep coming back to Huggies. They are much more absorbent, well-fitted without being bulky… and most importantly, less leakage and don't irritate my baby's skin. They are more expensive but the amount of leaks we have had with the cheaper ones, means that we don't have to be constantly changing clothes and doing extra loads of laundry with wet sheets and so on. Like that they come in boy and girl varieties, at first thought it was all a gimmick, but it really does make a difference in terms of where the most moisture is absorbed. Soft against baby's skin and not having to battle nappy-rash as much as with other brands. Always try and get them on sale, but they are well worth it. Well-absorbent, doesn't cause nappy rash, best fitting nappies More expensive, not as eco-friendly as some other brands |

Curash Baby Wipes Best wipes we have used – Started using these wipes for the little one and they are the best! Have tried several other brands, everything from the cheaper Coles generic, Aldi to the expensive Huggies, Gaia… Natural, Nature's Babycare and the Curash frangrance free baby wipes outperform them everytime! Like that they pull out of the packet one at a time, so there's never excess waste. They are moist without being too wet and the towelling of the actual wipe is soft, durable and pliable. Other brands have caused redness but the Curash ones never do. The actual packet has a click top lid so they don't dry out and are great for travelling with and never leak in the bag. By far, the best wipes we've used. So soft and gentle on the little one and definitely recommend Curash wipes Soft, gentle and great packaging More expensive but we buy the bulk packs from Big W |

Bodum Kenya Tea Press Perfect tea every time – This is the 3rd Bodum teapot we have. The previous 2 were only replaced because they broke whilst we were moving house. We have used other cheaper teapots in the past, but always… come back to the Bodum as they are so well made and brew tea perfectly everytime. Yes, the type of teapot you use makes all the difference! As it is made out of glass as well as plastic, it retains heat and brews the tea wonderfully. It's easy to clean, doesn't stain and looks great. Highly recommend a Bodum teapot for any tea enthusiast! Well worth the extra money, brews tea to perfection More expensive than others, have had 2 break |

Breville Smart Toast As good as a toaster can get – It's one of the more expensive toasters on the market, but I decided to splurge on it because it looked great and I was sick of buying cheap toasters that don't last. Have been… using it for about 18 months and it's great. We don't use it everyday but it has never let us down. It has good toasting settings and is nice that you can check on the toast and then put it back down for just that little bit more. It looks great on the kitchen counter and is nice and sturdy and easy to clean. Yes it's more expensive but if you're going to buy a quality toaster this is the one. Looks great and has good settings Expensive |

Kleva Sharp Impulse buy but one of our must-have kitchen items – We bought the Kleva-sharp at one of those home shows (it was the Royal Easter Show in 2011) after watching the quick 2-minute demo. Of course my Mrs was sceptical and rolled her… eyes when I was so quick to hand over my cash, but once we got it home and I sharpened one of our Global knives, she was convinced! We have an expensive set of Global knives that are only a couple of years old and although not blunt, we always complained that they needed to be sharper. To take them to the local knives shop and have them all done would have cost about $30 for the set (and the person is only in on certain days) so to have this clever little tool at home is perfect! We have told all our family and friends about it and recommend it highly Small tool that has saved all of our expensive knives - must have item! |
