  Laptop-charger.com.au

Very happy with the experience. Ordered a charger for a Dell for my sister and it was despatched the next day. Communications from the company were quick and excellent. Sister also now happy.

Website search broken, will not fix – I reported a bug in their website product search, it returned the wrong product, and their only response was to say I had been doing it wrong. In fact my search entry was exactly

advised by their own shop staff. Rather than fix the bug they pretend it's my fault for not entering a random coded string of letters I had zero way of knowing. Very poor experience. Speaks volumes about company culture too.

  Netcomm AC1600 NF18ACV

My preferred modem router – This Netcomm works extremely well on my AussieBB FTTN connection. The attainable rate is around 75 on a 50Mbps connection. I'm about 500m from the node. Also the WiFi range is

fine. Here are my laptops Wifi connection performance stats from this morning on the 2.4GHz band using iPerf3: 1 metre from router: 48.9 MB/s, 10 metre from router: 31.2 Mb/s. The 5GHz band is extremely good but I don't have a PC on it at the moment to measure. Recently it started regular rebooting, and I thought it was broken. Switched it off for a few days, while I used a spare, did a factory reset, - and it has been rock solid. That was a month ago. Would buy again.

  ZTE H268A

Solid performer, should work for any situation. No problems at all – Bought this second hand for just $10 when my Netcomm NF18ACV failed after six months and I didn't want to wait for warranty fix. Factory reset it and it came up set for Exetel but

that didn't work for my ABB FTTN connection. Did a search, then ticked PTM and Link Type IP and it works beautifully. WiFi range seems very good - e.g. speedtest over Ethernet cable gets 47Mbps, while at 3 metres the wifi gives 45 Mbps and at ten metres, about 38 Mbps. That is way better than I'd expected given some comments about its wifi ability.

It works fine with my ABB VoIP after setting a couple of basics. For any techies - have changed the subnet, set up DHCP reservation and port forwarding no worries. Seems like a very configurable modem that also works well - no issues at all with this. Good looking unnit too. Edit : it's running the latest 1.0.1_ETL.1T10 firmware. I gather that versions before T9 had limitations so upgrade if you can

  VentraIP

Best domain registrar. Best service, best prices – Very happy to be with Ventra IP having been with other domain registrars over the last fifteen or twenty years. Their systems are fast, clear and easy to use, and reliable. Their

organisation seems to be a motivated and happy place to work, and that always translates to a great customer experience. If you are tossing up whether to use Ventra or one of the alternatives, who are mostly foreign owned, the choice is clear.
