the capsules. I absolutely love this machine (i have three) my only criticism is that we've gone through three milk frothers. The milk seems to stick to the bottom and burn in after a while. Whilst most of the time you can clean up the brown marks, eventually they do get to a stage where the marks are impossible to clean away. It's only cosmetic but enough to get me to buy a new frother every 6 months or so. But I use it multiple times a day and have absolutely worked it to the bone. Clean, fast and makes a great coffee A little expensive i guess but worth it.
