Janome. I haven't managed to part with my old semi industrial machine as I prefer it for very thick projects but this is much better for everything else. I have never used the foot pedal as the buttons are so easy. Self threader is awesome. I tend to do more clothing repairs as it is so easy to pull it out and do a quick job without having to set up where you can use the foot pedal. You can even use it standing up with it on a high bench if you have trouble sitting for too long. This machine is much quieter than my old one but I'm guessing most new ones would be. I love the button hole maker, I've always avoided buttons before but this was so easy. The onboard storage is not a great design. So glad I bought this machine.

Love it – Only had it 2 weeks and used it 4 times but so far love it. Bit of a pain to put together but I'm guessing they all would be. Takes up a lot of space when in use but not so bad…

Like the quick change speed buttons for interval training. My husband is about 6ft and some of the treadmills we looked at were not big enough for him, this one seems fine. Love that I can plug my phone in for my music. Everything You do need a lot of space.
