easy to put away, one hand only required to fold and lift it into the boot. Comfortable for the child. Has a very large sun bonnet to shield the child from the sun and has a small and large hanging pocket for parents phone or keys. Very easy to lock the wheels with a simple rocker. We got ours on special for a touch more than $200 and was easily the best choice for us. Forgot spending $1200 on some fancy stroller. Save yourself the money, this one is the best by far. Well thought out features, ergonomic to handle, and great value for money. Highly recommended.

bike fuel tank gives great range. It's also a real bike albeit a little one not some retro cool scooter. Why would you spend $10-15K on a you-beaut sports bike to commute on or some bashed up flogged 250 or a Hyosung 650GTR(ubbish) when this is such a good deal. Cheap to buy new, easy handling, economical, 14L tank. 10.7 hp isn't too much but easily enough.

guts of it the postie is all the commuter you'd need. I realised that I will come off this bike. It's going to be knocked over, bumped into and rained on. What bike could be cheaper to own and run than this. I work out that if I use $10 a week in fuel i'll be out of pocket less than $1000 per year all told on the road inc rego. Plus it's as cheap as chips to repair and service. Drum brakes, skinny tyres, simple bulletproof electrics, comfy seat, big rear rack. No expensive plastics or computers to go wrong. City traffic is now easy to deal with. Bus lanes and T2/3 here we come. It may not be very manly but under my helmet who cares. I am the stig. Will do 80kph no probs and blitzs at the lights. European SUV. What I can give that they don't is how it is to live with day to day. One word, Brilliant. Subaru have got it right. Simple and sophisticated in the same package.

Lets start outside. Plenty of ground clearance to do some gravel work/light off roading. Enough to keep you out of trouble for the most part. Stylings not everyone cup of tea but it does look pretty muscular even sporty with the diesel bonnet scoop. I do think the panels would dent easily as its quite light sheet metal. Lights are good and vision is excellent. OEM tyres aren't much chop, particularly if you pump them to 38-40 psi. Keep to recommended 32psi/220kpa.

Running Gear. Engine is brilliant. Better than my VW Passat 2.0TDI. Much more power and torque. With the 6 speed manual there isn't that "Lag" you find with other small high revving diesel engines. Particularly automatics like the VW DSG as good as it is. It's much like driving a medium powered petrol vehicle like my AU series 3 XR6 from this perspective. Gearbox is good, I like it. It's nice and metallic and feels good in the hand. Gears not close enough to go from 2nd to 5th all the time like in a boy racer. As has been said 1st gear is tall and you could do almost all your driving around town in 1,2 and 3rd gears. 6th is great for highway stuff but i have found for climbing real gradients that you'll drop back to 5th. I particularly like the all wheel drive as it feels secure. Steering is good not great I have found it really light at highway speeds as its speed sensitive.

In the cabin is a nice place to be. Drivers in a good position, vision is great from the reasonably high driving position. leather is lovely and the dash is well laid out. Doesn't have all the quality feel good features that the Passat has (heated seats etc) but on a family touring wagon (why we bought it) its more than adequate. The back doors open very wide perfect of getting small children in and out and there also a huge amount of space in the back seat for adults. The shoulder room in the back has been increased for this model. The boot space is good but I would have liked some more cubby holes for bits and pieces. The electric drivers seat is handy with the 2 person memory setting. Would have been nice for the passenger.

In summary it's hard to fault this vehicle. For an outdoorsy type of family it's a great vehicle. I'd definitely recommend it. Heaps of space, quality of build and parts, value for money 2nd hand, 5 star safety, comfort and ergonomics Yokohama Geolander (OEM) tyres not great.
