  HoMedics Therapist Select Plus PGM-745-AU

Was good until it wasn't – Like other reviews, I've had battery issues. My massager is roughly 2 years old, and had minimal use and kept in the storage bag. Needing it for a painful shoulder it was fully

charged and reading at 99% But this charge dwindled to a cut out in 4 minutes. I repeated the charging process, it repeated its dying process. I've contacted the manufacturer but I doubt I'll get anywhere having read others experiences. Very disappointing.

  Sistaco Nails

An unfortunate sparkly addiction – I do love the incredible shine and reasonable durability of Sistaco. To get the look you'll probably need to purchase the base coat, top coat, mineral powders, remover... and a

heat lamp. Powders are $25 each , my kit cost $180 which included six colours and all you need to start....*Chinese made.

My concerns though is the company itself. They don't suffer complaints. I purchased their sustainable nails (fake , pre coloured stick on nails) not recommended. The glue comes in the form of tabs sandwiched between pull off plastic sheets. I couldn't separate the glue from the plastic...they had kinda fused and tugging the glue of turned it into a blob that needed unfolding with tweezers. Subsequently the glue was squishy and the nails could be pushed around because they were not firmly attached. Needless to say the nails fell off in less than a day. I informed Sistaco of my experience and I got a zero concern response ...basically just told me to follow the instructions, which I already had. So no ownership of the problem, or refund or any remedial offerings from the company... absolute zip customer care.

I mentioned my fake nail experience on their Facebook page and another woman had exactly the same problem and the same useless response from Sistaco. Our comments were quickly removed , ironically the last thing she wrote was "I wonder if our comments will be deleted?" and as I was writing my reply " I'm sure we will be" , we were being deleted. Seems any criticism is unwelcome on a page dedicated to glittery nails... obviously free speech might take the shine off the illusion of customer infatuation.

All in all, I do like the nails but with reservations . I wear a mask when using the mineral powder because I doubt inhalation of that is healthy.. and it gets everywhere! The base coat is easy to use, the top coat can go a bit sticky. The remover is awful, it's in a nail polish bottle but it's a gel...lousy coverage and gluggy. It also burns my cuticles but doesn't remove the polish very well. I find I need 3 coats of remover and use their scraping tool to get back to bare nails. The LED heat lamp is just OK, but it folds up. The magnifying light is usefull...tends to fall over but not too bad a product, again it's foldaway.

Finally, the one real redeeming thing about Sistaco nails are the colours, they are absolutely gorgeous. Add to that a wow factor shiny glitter....well, reluctantly, they do bring joy and a possible addiction.

  Skipper

Just love this brand – I am slightly embarrassed to admit the joy I got when opening a box of cleaning products but seriously, this was an impressive box of goodies fit for any clean freak

...basically, Christmas in a box. From the quality of the storage tins and spray bottles to every cleaning product they make, Tirtyl is the best. I love the ethos behind the brand, removing plastic waste and just a more Earth friendly complete cleaning system. My only negative is a couple of their products are made in China but apparently they are working on making those products here...which they should. Highly recommended!

  Kmart Anko 5.3L Air Fryer

Works well...but early days – Works surprisingly well. In the 2 weeks I've had it's cooked lamb chops to perfection, great chips and baked spuds and a cake (soggy in the middle) The unit is very easy to use

but feels plasticy so it's longevity may be limited. But at $89 at least you can cheaply see if you like air fryers before committing to an expensive purchase.

  Hudstone Regular Laundry Powder

Simple is good – I started using Hudstone's powder about 3 months ago, and I have just re-ordered 6 kilos, which should last me ages. At first, I found it really difficult to believe that less

than a tablespoon of powder could wash 14kgs of laundry, but every wash I pull from my giant front loader comes out clean. It's true that the initial expense seems high, but the amount of washes per kilo is really good, so it's cheaper in the long run. I like buying directly from an Australian owned company that manufacturers here, and I like avoiding shopping in supermarkets .
