  Andatech

I have an Andatech Alcosense Stealth. It has been under a maintenance plan for 9 years since new. It gets calibrated 2 x per annum. It has been pretty accurate per the

calibration reports. Andatech's maintenance service has been exemplary with a fast turnaround and an excellent customer service team.

  Haigh's Chocolate Physical store

The chocolates are not bad and some of them good. The dark chocolate covered nougat is hard and seems strong enough to pull crowns off. The prices are a bit over the top; eg

check the $90 hamper I recently received as a gift, and 'what is in the box' photos. The buyer reported there was a coupon so not as dear as it looks, but. The exquisite box might be worth a few dollars for presentation, but the contents maybe worth $30 for quality and quantity? There are equal or better chocolates in the groceries for much less, not even considering top line competitors like Chocolatier, Hahndorf, and others.

  I-Med Radiology Network

My surgeon indicated I could get a walk-in x-ray at the i-med located adjacent to his Warringal rooms a few hours pre-appointment with him. They charged $190 for an x-ray the

surgeon said should have been bulk billed -- since it was pre-appointment no time to check or go elsewhere when they advised the charges. The x-ray tech and front counter staff were excellent. Months later I needed a supposedly bulk billed ultrasound; the i-med receptionist at the Eltham i-med location was 'sterile' and disinterested (possibly having a bad day himself?) advising the first booking was the next day (no worries) but indicated there would be a fee. There are a number of bulk billing facilities within minutes drive and the bulk billing SCMI receptionist met me with a smile, and had a very pleasant operator. It is best not to blindly accept services with fees. i-med makes its own business decisions but it seems they require 'enough profit' not just profit, from their operations.

  Youi Comprehensive Car Insurance

It has been years since I got a quote from Youi because of their phone call sales. I reckoned because of price escalation by my current insurer I would give them another try.

Their web site got very basic information and then went into their phone call mode. The first few questions by the live salesperson should have been included on the web but who can resist having to spell and repeat names of people, streets, dates and so on? Moving on the salesperson asked if I had cover and what type and how long and how long with the same company. I answered back to 2021 but told her I did not really know for prior years although I have had continuous insurance for many decades. She pushed and pushed for an answer or even a guess. At that point I decided if it was that hard to get a quote it might be like pulling teeth to make a claim, so told her I was terminating the call and to remove me from their prospect database. If you have nothing better to do than engage in what seems like a marketing and customer profiling game with a salesperson, Youi is for you. Otherwise best not to waste time with them.

  Uncle Ben’s Special Fried Rice

It is no longer 'Uncle Ben's' it is just 'Ben's'. I do not understand how Ben's survives as an instant rice brand. The Special Fried Rice is terrible and so are the rest of the

Ben's rices. If any of the varieties has a single merit it would be the Mexican rice where I would give it 2 stars. Nothing good to write about any of the product line.
