  Verified Woolworths Online store

Extremely disappointed with the online shopping experience. Many items missing yet paid for and only a partial refund. Items like tomatoes poorly packaged by butting them into the

bottom of the shopping bag and additional items stacked on top. %20 order expense missing and refund details missing just the figure. Everything done to make it difficult to check. Items missing all big dollar items over $10 each. Hilton Store being the culprit.

My opinion based on only a few weeks of use Pros The Laptop is nice to use with a good keyboard with several one touch buttons for handy regular use functions. The display

whilst not being the high end version has decent brightness , can be used in sunlight and performs well inside games.

The Performance is good for me with the only issues being some of the included bloatware but that's was easily addressed.

When under a full load it was not loud fans wise or never got as hot as my previous machine. The USB C ports run Video no problems.

Whilst the inbuilt speakers are not great they are a lot better than most unbranded sound systems. For a laptop in this price range they were probably the best I came across. Decent Battery performance.

Cons

Although it has 4 USB ports the mix being 2 USB type A and 2 USB Type C I do wish it had one more type A port as by the time a mouse and keyboard are connected you only have Type C ports available.

However More an Issue with me as I didn't think the mix would cause a problem. It does if you want to connect a USB memory stick with a Type A connector. Not a deal breaker but long term it will need a work around like a hub or dual wireless setup for the keyboard and/or mouse. Again not a big deal as you can identify this at the time of purchase.

I usually use a Laptop connected to external power and there is no problem with this one other than the connector. That being it's location on the side. It would be better with a rear connector IMHO but the power supply does have a Right Angled plug. Only really an issue if you move it around whilst connected.

For me it could do with more storage as I use plenty of mods for the games I play. Again not a big deal as it has an additional internal connector for another SSD. Only one and not for a traditional HDD sized unit but it is a modern machine so an NVME unit is fine.

Overall

After having had a few laptops now for the money this one is one of the best. Whilst it isn't a lightweight the 90WH battery and robust feel and construction leaves me confident in it's long term future. I don't think you could go wrong for the money with it's Gaming Video Performance and low power usage when not running flat out. It does behave strangely on occasion but this was always due to Windows 11. One day I figure that out.

A handy sized Blower Vac for smaller jobs – A smaller blower vac that does the job. Have used gas powered and sized blower vacs for years. Now in a smaller area I didnt need all the extra capacity. For a smaller unit it is

capable and does a decent job of picking up leaves and some light rubbish. Doesnt do saturated leaves well but these machines are not really made to do that. The bag has an adequate size for it's runtime and so far has held up well. Its real only drawback is run time but I have tried it in a large yard and only needed two batteries to complete the task that I would normally have used a gas powered unit for. It's major drawback is run time . Using the smaller versions of Makita batteries or aftermarket copy's causes it to run out of power quickly and in the case of after market it seems to have a lower speed. When using 5AH Makita Genuine batteries it runs well and is practical. I also checked for the availability of spare parts and was happy to find the availability of replacement turbines as this is a part that wears. My previous Ryobi units were retired due to turbine wear and with no spares available are not as useful as they could have been. Been using it for 3 months and am happy with it. Would buy the same again but it could do with a larger bag to help the vac and capacity. The blower isnt a huge one but is adequate for my needs.

  Acer Nitro 5 AN515-55

Barely worth the effort – Well what to say about this Acer laptop, in a positive light Screen is pretty good and the backlit keys work Reasonable performance for an I5 10th gen As a business machine it

will do the job briskly enough but it will need a ram upgrade Faults and problems It uses a cryptic and flakey bios style. I have never had a machine that needed to be reset bios wise so often. It is using rock stock settings but a simple task like a ram or hdd upgrade will make life very difficult. I have been using notebook's since before Win 95 and never encountered a machine that was so easy to crash so hard that only a full clearance of the bios would fix it. During its failures it very often would crash during a windows update. Not a big deal on a normal pc with a decent bios but this particular machine would almost always require a full bios reset. I suppose not a big deal but honestly I really didnt want a machine that I had to open up on a regular basis just to keep software up to date. Also the cherry on the top I would say that if you ever decide to do a complete clean install of an operating system it wont allow you to do so unless you completly clear the bios during the process by the usual disassembly method. It wont allow install disks or drives to rewrite the boot sectors caucusing the machine and disk to become unbootable requiring additional software to correct the issue AND the need to remove the drive and install in another machine to fix. Then there is its performance during games, the video chipset is reasonably quick and stable using default settings without a ram upgrade but it did benafit by going to 32 gb. I have used windows 10 and 11 on this machine and had the same problems with both.

To sum up If I didnt know my way around the inside of a computer this piece of junk would spend more time at a tech repair that in my own use. As long as there are no windows updates it works just fine but when it does you are in for problems. I wont be buying another Acer ever after this pile of junk I will be returning to ASUS or Lenovo Thinkpads.
