Pathetic – Absolutely pathetic, incompetent non service. The worst customer service we have experienced anywhere not just Darwin. Nobody wants to know anything once they have taken your

funds. Waited for a delivery from them on three different days, nobody showed each time, no contact from anyone and when we phoned several times nobody could help us. I'd give them a no star rating if possible because thats what they deserve. Avoid Darwin BadGuys

  TID Travel Insurance Direct

My appalling experience with TID – My wife & I took out travel insurance with TID thinking it was a reputable company,there website blinded our good judgement. We have used them twice,two seperate holidays,making

one claim.We were due to travel to Bali for one week in January 2011,these plans were cancelled due to my brother committing suicide several days before we were due to leave,my brother was not travelling with us nor did he have a policy with TID,all we claimed for was the cost of changing out flights to another date & half the cost of our accomadation which was held by the hotel booking company.

This claim was flatley refused even though clearly stating in there policy that they pay for claims for cancelation due to unforseen circumstances,because my brother committed suicide they rejected the claim,it was a $630.00 claim.

After numerous phone calls to them & non returned calls from them,many arguements later,I contacted my solicitor & the media (60 Minutes & A Current Affair) who were willing to air this story,I spoke with Ian Jackson,the general manager of TID & explained to him what I was doing about the claim & he finally agreed to pay the claim out of good will,funny that,bad publicity & legal action.

I as a human being am totally shattered by the inhumane dealings from this company,even though they finally paid,the claim was not settled,but it was written off as a good will payment.Please be very careful dealing with this company. Cheap for a reason. Typical insurance company - all claims denied initially - fight to get claim payed.

Excellent – Best customer service I have had in 20 odd years.Steve O'Brian went above & beyond any retailer ever has in my opinion. I decided to buy a Canon Ixus 105 Camera from Ryda.com

because they advertised they

had waterproof casings for them which were rated to 40 mtrs at a great price to, which was what we were after for travelling Asia snorkeling & diving.

The Camera turned up within 3 days which is bloody brilliant fron NSW to NT,The waterproof casing stated that it would be in store 2-7 days,two weeks

later I contacted them to find out what was going on with the waterproof casing & they couldn't give me an answer as to when the product would turn up in

Australia.

Now while I was pretty peeved off to put it polite,because we were going on holidays in two weeks without our diving camera, [name removed] from Ryda.com.au

contacted everywhere possible to find this item,through Canon,other stores etc etc,they ended up paying retail for the only one in the state & sending

it to us.He went above & beyond what is expected from any retailer.

Once the Waterproof casing arrived I was blown away,only to find out once we started the camera after charging the battery it just shut down with

screen problems,giving E16 errors etc,I tried every thing to no avail,Basically I lost the plot,I spat the dummy so to speak.

But once again [name removed] from Ryda.com sorted things out,dealing with me is by now is no easy job to put it clearly.

He organised for me to pick up a camera from the Darwin WOW Sight & Sound store,being the only place they could obtain one at short notice,which I did

& so far all is working great.

So Ryda.com.au really care about there customers as far as I'm concerned,& I will definately deal with them again. High Blood Pressure lol
