  Specsavers

Deceived and now I'm stuck with this prescription – I went to Specsavers about 9 months ago to give them a go, initially I was very pleased by the staff, the Optometrist and great offer... so I went with them. Firstly we did the

examination and my new prescription had jumped considerably but I expected that because my vision and eyes have deteriorated severely. We tried the actual prescription but I discovered it was too strong so he suggested we drop a few points. I agreed and plus it was still rather strong, I was seeing so much better, so I ordered.

When they arrived I tried them, as they were new I was told it will take me a few weeks to get used to them, I accepted that advise but found my vision was still not good. I went back and was advised to give them a few more weeks, that I still needed to get used to them.

Two months went by and still was no better, so I went back. I spoke with the Optometrist and he still came up with the same prescription, then I saw the sales person but was told my prescription isn't manufactured as their capabilities was only upto 6 something and mine was around 8. My glasses that they did was about 5.25 and they tried to sell me another pair at a higher level rating of 5.75 and they'd give me 50% off but I said no, I couldn't even get a return as it was 2 months on.

So I still struggle with these glasses, I'm constantly fatigued and I still have very blurred vision. Specsavers was so dishonest and I'm still paying for it, why didn't they tell me from the start they don't manufacture my strength. I will never trust Specsavers, tried first time as I've always gone to Budget (now OPSM) and obviously I have to go back to get my proper prescription but I'm so not happy that I've got to buy another pair so soon and that I've suffered all this time at the hands of a negligent money hungry business that didn't care about the welfare of my eye sight and only cared about taking my money.

  Optifast VLCD

The Best that leaves the rest well behind – Four months since I commenced this program and I feel I can give my best opinion in detail from my experience so far, it might be a bit long but I'm sure for some readers or new

users may find it helpful. Ok here goes...

For what it's worth, it is the best money I've spent... just make sure you shop around to get it as cheap as possible. Some places (especially some pharmacies) the RRP is much higher than other places, if you can get it on sale that's a bonus.

I've tried both the standard recipe and premium shakes and I find the premium recipe not only tastes heaps better but is also a more thicker consistency, I find the milkier texture is smooth and not much of an aftertaste. The premium recipe does froth where the standard doesn't but with the standard I don't like the aftertaste of it and the premium does taste so much nicer. My favourite flavours from the premium range is Banana, strawberry, vanilla and I like caramel.

The bars I didn't go much on as I found them quite heavy and somewhat too dense to eat any more than three bites.

The deserts are fine, I can't eat a full serving so I halve it but I do prefer to have lite jelly instead so I stopped buying them.

The only soup I like is the tomato, I can tolerate the vegetable a little but the chicken I can't do. Just a note, make sure you do it in cooled boiled water (about 80 c) and keep stirring in between drinking it as some of it comes to the top and forms a funny powdery layer.

Now for my conclusion...

I have been able to stick with it for the most part, it's not easy and you sure do need a lot of strength and will power to fight your urges to eat food that's not allowed. I certainly have fallen off the wagon many times and it is a roller coaster ride of battling not only the temptations all around you, the will to just give up and strength to keep going but it's the long time giving into desires to eat bad food that got me into this overweight trouble in the first place. I got to my heaviest ever at 99kg, I hated everything about what I looked like and felt, so it was time to put myself through the paces of this program. I've tried so many other diets including meal replacement shakes and to date nothing has worked as effectively as this program, I've lost 23kg in 18 weeks and that's with Christmas of overeating and not following it for two weeks. I'm finally back on track again and more than half way to a goal and weight that I've never been in my teen to adult life, I know I can do it but it's the Optifast program that is helping and at the age of 43 I knew I couldn't do it any other way, it's especially crucial to have friends and family for support to keep pushing you and nothing compares to all the praises you get from shocked people saying how wonderful you look each time they see you.

I hope this long review is helpful to anyone, just don't give up... Keep going.

  Veet In-Shower Hair Removal Cream

Love my Vert In The Shower – I've had this Veet In The Shower for about a month and so far I'm very impressed with the product. I have very thick stubborn dark hairs, even on my face. I have used this product

on my legs. Bikini area, under arms and chin (because my hair is so coarse). It's worked brilliantly, it's taken about two weeks to actually start growing back where you could see the hairs, even after more than a week I was at the beach and still my legs looked pretty good. its much quicker than other similar cream products and doesn't smeel half bad, well at least compared to most.

I really like this product, will definitely be using this for years to come.

A great big pain in my Home Office!!! – I originally purchased this printer about a year ago and it's been the biggest pain... the paper jams are absolutely phenomenal on this machine. Pretty much every 5-10 pages it

jams, then I have to turn the printer around so I can access the back door to retrieve the jam. This is costing me in tons of paper waste, valuable time and heaps in consumables due to having to reprint, I regret this purchase big time and as soon as I can purchase a new one.. I'll be going to another big brand that has much better machines for Home Office with better reviews. I purchased this machine Brand New from a popular retail seller that sells on eBay and although I reviewed this machine prior to purchasing it, I thought maybe I could be lucky to get a good faultless machine... boy was I wrong. Love the duplex printing although it's only for standard A4 plain paper and the two tray is awesome, definately A3+ format is good. Paper jams constantly, sometimes causing multiple paper feeds. A huge loss of my valuable production time and consumables due to having to reprint.

Gorgeous looking but that's about it – I loved when I saw this, I was instantly in love with it and thought my daughter who just turned 5 would adore it... well she did adore it BUT it failed miserably on so many

levels.

Firstly I will say.. I read loads of reviews on this and wished I had of taken the opinions of the majority. I purchased it and immediately tested it when I arrived home, taking it out of the box was just the beginning of my journey that led me to purchasing a different boom box altogether.

I purchased, tested and returned 3 of them, all of them had issues. First one.. a control knob broke off and mic would not work simultaneously with any cd or sing along cd, second.. The mic didn't work at all and the third.. The mic didnt work simultaneously with any cd again and the speakers didn't sound as good. Upon returning all of them, I went to K Mart and purchased the Audiosonic. Not as sweet looking as it looks like a typical boombox but its pink and it has so many great features, totally beating the Disney singalong hands down. I will review the audiosonic but do yourself a favour, avoid this Disney boombox. When most of the online reviews says mostly bad things about it, it pays to take that and go with something else.

A big lesson learnt.... It looks gorgeous and the music quality from the speakers was pretty good. 1. Outlet cord way too short, 2. Only one mic, 3. No battery capabilities, 4. Is not portable and can not be moved more than a metre away from the wall, 5. Mic would not work simultaneously with the cd (on all 3 that I tried), 6. Can not purchase a second Disney mic to make a pair, 7. The little knobs to control the functions broke too easily, 8. Although not major but definitely worth a mention... can not be plugged into the tv for additional features like other units do.
