Love this dehumidifier! I have two family members who suffer from asthma and here in QLD we can get very humid temperatures in summer, specially during those raining days and…

weeks of continuous rain. When I don't want to use the clothes dryer to avoid shrinking of certain clothes, this little machine helps to dry clothes much faster if you run in the same room you have your clothes on a dryer rack. Another fight we have particularly during the wet and humid summer months is MOULD forming on the ceiling and some of the walls. We live in a very old house and we have had a yearly battle to clean mould. I am hopeful that will no longer be the case. I wish I had thought of using dehumidifiers before.

Good to note that dehumidifiers operate more effectively if windows and doors are kept closed whilst running.

What I love about this appliance from my experience: - This dehumidifier can run 24/7, but it only needs to be on for as long as it takes to dry up a room. You can set a timer for how long you would like to run the appliance it will automatically shut off at the end of the set time. - Clothes Dry setting to help dry your clothes faster during the months of increased humidity or raining days. - Helps to keep the moisture in the air lower to avoid mould growth during the humid and wet summer months which helps to minimize the health problems associated with mould such as asthma and allergy triggers. - Wi-Fi connectivity so you can control the appliance via an app on your phone. - Easy operation - very easy to operate the appliance once you download the Ausclimate App. We can easily switch between Dehumidification Mode button or Enviromentally Friendly Dehumidifier. We can select between Fan speed range from: LOW, MEDIUM, and HIGH or AUTO. You can choose the humidity percentage desired to achieve and also visualize the temperature of the room. I uploaded a video showing the noise level of the fan operation set on MEDIUM. - Safety: child lock feature so children can not change the settings whilst operating. - Quiet operation. This depends on how high the appliance is set up. On high, the dehumidifier will dry up a room a lot faster but you will be able to hear the fans going if you are in the same room during operation. - Extracts up to 20L of moisture per day and it has a 4L water tank that is very easy to remove and empty. - Running temperature 5 – 35°C - 4 years warranty is very decent

it a 5-star rating. The sound quality is superb, impressive bass response. We loved to use it during movie night with friends, playing songs or use for karaoke at the occasional weekend party. What brought my rating to 3 star was the durability. This sound system lasted about 18 months, then it would started to stop during play time, and it stopped charging. That's when we tried to remove the power plug to check, it would not unplug. Then we noticed there was deformity in the plastic. It seems it overheated, and something melted inside where the power cable plugs, and it would not budge. So, we had to dispose of it. Amazing performance and sound quality at this price point but it only lasted 18 months. I was hoping to enjoy it for a few years at least.

Cons:

- Poor durability – in my household using it 2-3 times a week if that and for occasional parties and movie night with friends, this system only lasted 18 months. - Safety: it seems there was overheating and the power plug got stuck inside the plugging slot and we were not able to unplug at all. The appliance stopped charging and the speaker would stop working on and off continuously. There was deformity on the surface around the power plug slot. This could possibly have posed an electrical fire hazard. This may have been isolated to our unit but I thought I would mention as safety is an imperative and very important aspect for any appliance and electronics.

Strong and powerful little steamer with multiple uses around the house – The Russel Hobbs handheld supreme helps to conveniently smoothing out creases on clothes without the need to set up the ironing board and get the iron out. Very practical indeed!…

Specially if all you want to do is smooth out the creases on one piece of clothing to put on straight away without the iron exercise.

What I love about this steamer: - One press button to turn on that doesn't need to be hold constantly to keep running. Having carpal tunnel on my hands, this is a big plus. - Safety features: Auto shut off after 15 mins if you happen to forget it turned on. - Hygiene: Steam is very powerful at killing bacteria and removing odours. It can be used to sterilize door knobs and I have even used to steam clean my fridge. - Fragrance holder attachments: I like to apply a drop of essential oil blends or fragrance for linen to the scent scent infuser attachment and refresh my bedding and pillows. Combined with the power of steam, it not only kills bacteria that leaves bad odours from sweating in this hot temperatures we have experienced this summer, but also leaves the pillows and bedding smelling so fresh. - Heats up quickly in less than a minute - Generous 3M long cord. I felt the length is enough for its purpose. The cord is covered in fabric and so much easier to tidy neatly and it has a Velcro strap to secure the cord neatly. - 6 minutes steam time: in my experience it is only enough to do 2 pieces of clothing if they are not very wrinkled, or 1 piece of clothing if very wrinkled. - Scent infuser attachments: not needed but definitely a very nice bonus. - Other attachments: delicates and upholstery attachment, lint brush

What could be better:

- Capacity: 200 ml water capacity only allowed me to fully smooth out wrinkles on one very creased garment, 2 garments not very creased. - Weight: weights 1.3 kg when empty, 1.5 kg with water compartment full. Not lightweight enough for me to bring along when I am flying because most hotels have an iron available. But I would definitely bring this along on a road trip.

Overall, this compact steamer does a great job and is very convenient and practical when getting rid of creases and wrinkles on clothes. One safety note: the head of the steamer does get very hot after use. Allow it to cool completely before touching the head.

to the convection oven and a third of the time compared to the regular oven. I have also tried fillets (chicken, fish) and it is large enough to re-heat a whole roast chicken when I buy a roast chicken from the supermarket. Instead of taking 35 mins in the convection oven, I got crispy skin and hot roast chicken within 20 minutes at 200 degrees. I used to be a convection oven fan because I could do small roasts as well as baking. The convection oven is rarely used now since I got the air fryer.

Overall, what I have found about the air fryer:

Positives: - Faster cooking: Air fryers work as small fan forced ovens, hence they are convenient and great for frozen foods. are able to cook foods a lot faster and achieve the crisp texture we love. Faster cooking also means savings with energy needed to run it. - Reheating food is fast and efficient. Rather than waiting for the oven to heat up just to warm through something small like leftover pizza. - Features: 10 pre-set food programs - potato chips, eggs, chicken, vegetables, air fry, bake, grill, dehydrate, cook from frozen and reheat. The chicken Kiev I posted in the pictures took only 18 minutes at 200 degrees Celsius and I did not need to turn them. - Beep reminder to turn the food - we still need to turn the food half way through the cooking. It is useful that the air fryer has an alert signal to prompt you to 'shake' or turn the food. - Capacity: This air fryer is quite large and can cook a fair amount of food for a small house hold of up to 4 people, maybe 6 depending on what you are cooking. Although, I found it large enough for a roast chicken which is pretty good in regards to capacity. - Easy to clean - cleaning this air fryer is a dream. Ensure to use the soft part of the sponge to avoid removing or damaging the non-stick coating. The removable shelf is dishwasher safe but there is no need to use the dishwasher as it is a small piece and so easy to wash.

Negatives (more of an observation than a negative): - Some of the pre-programed settings could be shorter to avoid the food being overdone or dry because the cooking is quite fast. For example, when cooking nuggets if they have been defrosted, they only take 8 minutes, not 15 mins. When heating up a whole roast chicken I selected the chicken setting and automatically sets TIME 40 mins and TEMPERATURE 180 degrees. Half way through I checked the chicken and it was done. I guessed since I was not cooking from raw it would take less than 40 minutes. The skin on the chicken was nice and crispy but the chicken had dried out a bit. We still thoroughly enjoyed our roast chicken. The first time I cooked chicken Kiev in the air fryer it was way overdone in 30 minutes. - Smell of hot plastic when using for longer than 15 minutes. This is common in appliances that combine metal and plastic. I experience the same issue whilst using my Tefal multicooker.

Overall, this large air fryer is amazing! Specially if you have kids and teens and need to cook snacks, re-heat leftovers or cook small amounts of food very quickly.

Outstanding suction performance – I am very impressed with the suction performance for this model Vacuum. This model has the best power suction I have experienced to date. I own a Dyson V15 cordless stick vacuum…

and had a hover barrel vacuum which died on me after 2 years. This is my first experience with an upright vacuum cleaner, and this is what I found after using it for 2 weeks. The vacuum cleaner comes with 2 heads, one long cleaning tool which is useful to clean between couch cushions and hard to get to spots. One cleaning toll with a brush, useful for cushions, the top of some furniture and top of the couches, curtains. One small upholstery head and a large floor head.

Floor cleaner head: amazing performance in picking up from large particles to dust and hair. But I struggled with half a pistachio shell that took quite a few goes to be picked up. There is a button for increased or reduced suction. Even on reduced suction, the power is too great for vinyl (lino) floors and you can barely move the vacuum cleaner. Amazing performance on hard floors, I have wooden floors and tiles and it's amazing for both. The maneuverability of the heads on hard floor is great. You can also detach/disconnect the stick from the vacuum base to clean curtains (using the brush tool) or to clean under furniture using the floor head or tool with brush. As I no longer have carpets, I had no need to change the setting on the button for rug/carpet. But I can imagine this vacuum would do an outstanding cleaning on rugged floor given its incredible suction performing. There is a vent on the vacuum stick that can be closed or open. I was able to vacuum the lino floors with the vent open on the stick but the amazing suction power still made it difficult to move the vacuum around and maneuverability is reduced because the suction is very strong.

What I love about this vacuum cleaner:

- LED lights on the cleaner head which makes it easier to see dust on the surfaces - Crevice tool: makes it easy to clean the gaps between the cushions and arm on the couch and other hard to reach tight spots. - No bags that need to be replaced (compared to my old barrel vacuum). - Amazing air filtration. Having 2 asthmatics in my family, I love the Anti-Allergen Complete Seal captures which traps dust and allergens. - So easy to empty the dust bin, no contact with the dirt. - Pushing the weight of the vacuum cleaner around is easier than carrying it if I compare it to my Dyson stick vacuum. This makes it easier on my hands since I have developed carpal tunnel syndrome on both wrists. - I like the extra-long cord which allows me to vacuum the entire house without changing power points. - It is easier to use in tight spaces than a stick vacuum. I am not saying this vacuum would be great for a house with tight spaces, I think the barrel models are still the best for tight spaces. - The vacuum detaches easily from the floor head and becomes a light weight portable vacuum cleaner. This makes vacuuming the car, walking up stairs to clean them so much easier. It also makes cleaning curtains easier.

Cons: - Loud: this model is noisier than all previous vacuums I have owned. This could be because of the greater suction performance. - Amazing power suction and cleaning performance. But similar to my Dyson stick vacuum, the power suction is localized to the path where the cleaner head is traveling on. Dirt under furniture does not get sucked up. To clean under furniture, we need to detach the stick and attach one of the tools. - Corded: I love not having restriction from cords. But the down side of cordless vacuums is the added weight of the battery.

Overall, the Shark Corded Upright Vacuum NV612 is an excellent upright vacuum cleaner. It has the best suction and cleaning performance I have seen, and excellent filtration for asthma sufferers. THE BEST SELLING POINT FOR ME is how easily the vacuum detaches from the floor head and becomes a light weight portable vacuum cleaner. It's so much easier to clean the car now.
